The perfect light for pico reef tanks now with remote and dual optical lenses!

Recommended Spread - 12" x 10"

For smaller soft coral and low light LPS tanks, the new optical lens system now transfers more power into the tank. Each light comes with its mounting bracket, acrylic shield, and a wired remote for ultimate control of the ZA1201-L. Adjust the brightness of each LED color through 30 different levels.

  • Includes Remote Control
  • Up to 30 LED Set Points
  • Plug and play
  • Tank mounting bracket included
  • Integrated Splash Shield
  • Daytime or Nightime Settings

The ZA1201-L is a fanless, Controllable LED light that uses an enlarged heatsink to manage and disperse the heat produced by the diodes. With no fan, there is absolutely no noise generated by the light making it perfect for office or bedroom settings. The lights are protected by an acrylic splash guard that accents the lights overall aesthetics while providing a solid mounting location. The included mounting bracket can clamp securely on to the back of your tank.

Control the light with the included wired controller that lets you individually set the intensity of each color throughout the LED light. You can program a daily cycle, and even demo the cycle all through the controller.

Product Questions

Will this light's mount fit onto a standard plastic trim 10 gallon tank? Without any modification?
In a standard 10 gallon tank, would this light be sufficient for anemones?
Question by: Mick on Jan 15, 2018, 2:52 PM
The light does come with a tank mount, that will work with a standard 10 gallon aquarium. With standard bubble tip anemonies, the light will be sufficient, but you may find it wanting a slight bit more light depending on the exact anemonie. If you are looking for something with a slight bit more power, the Kessil A80 wouldn't be a bad choice either. : )

I have a 20gal tall tank that I plan on setting up soon and was wondering if this would be enough for that tank size I'm only going to have soft corals in it to start with.
Question by: Jacob Nichols on Nov 26, 2017, 4:10 AM
Hey there,

While this may be sufficient for low light softies, I would say this is pretty marginal. You'd likely see better results with something a little more powerful. I would say this is really more ideal for very small pico reefs of 5-10 gallons.

Happy reefing!

Would this light work for adding light in a corner to grow sps drags that are on a small corner tray about 10 inches down?
Question by: George Trauten on Nov 21, 2017, 9:41 AM
This light could work with some lower light requiring SPS like pocillipora, but for most others, it just simply is not powerful enough. It is a great light for LPS and soft corals but for an SPS tank, we would suggest looking into the Kessil A80 for a pico SPS tank.
