Battery Backup Compatible

In an aquarium with no flow, fish and corals begin to die in as little as 4 to 10 hours. The Battery Backup is reef tank insurance in an aluminum housing.

By adding the Battery Backup, your tank is insulated from power interruptions, helping protect your valuable investment -and your tank inhabitants.
*Hours are estimated and will vary depending on battery life, pump mode, and other factors.

The Vectra Advantage

Active Feedback

When used with the ReefLink, your Vectra pump can send you performance and status alerts right to your mobile device or computer. Your return pump is the heart of your aquarium; the faster you hear about an unexpected issue the more successful you will be as an aquarist.

  • Quiet Operation
  • Controllability

Cost Savings

Traditional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump, are flow controlled through the use of a choke valve. This method of control is inherently inefficient for two reasons. 1) The AC pump purchased must often be overpowered for your given setup to allow for flexibility. 2) By adding artificial impedance to your flow, electricity is wasted. The Vectra pump will always operate at the optimum efficiency because there is no need to use a flow restricting valve to achieve your desired flow rate.

Product Questions

l was sitting scrolling through a R2R forum and someone had mentioned the Vectra Line was NOT compatible with Neptune’s APEX. Is this true? L know EcoTech works with Neptune to bring the Radions and Vortechs compatible, so why not the Vectra’s?
Question by: Zack on Nov 24, 2017, 8:19 PM
The Vectra pumps from Ecotech are not compatible with the Neptune Systems Apex at this time. We are not 100% sure why they are not compatible since we have not come across a definitive answer.

What is the smallest tank size you would recommend this pump for?
Question by: Brad Freimuth on Nov 6, 2017, 10:19 PM
It would depend heavily on the application. As a return pump for a 20-gallon tank with a 4' head height, it would actually be a really good pump since it would give you the ability to adjust the flow for your tank. Anything smaller than 20 gallons and it may be a little overkill, but once again in the right application, it could work for smaller tanks too.

Will this be suitable for a 50 gallon SPS dominate tank?
Question by: Keisha Kornbread on Sep 13, 2017, 2:22 PM
The Ecotech Vecta S1 would be a great pump for a 50 gallon aquarium. The only thing you will need to take into consideration is the head height from the sump up to the top of the tank. Just as long as the head height is under 5 feet or so, the S1 would be an ideal choice.

Does the M1 adapter kit work for the S1 as well?
Question by: Chris on Sep 2, 2017, 12:32 AM
Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to this adapter. This would work for both the M1 as well as the S1. Please let me know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!

What's the min. GPH at the lowest setting?
Question by: Brandon on Aug 15, 2017, 4:45 PM
Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to this pumps min GPH. This would be something that would be calibrated to each tank when first setting up this pump. It would then use this setting in case of power outage, and during feed times. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!
