- Quiet Operation
Traditional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump, are flow controlled through the use of a choke valve. This method of control is inherently inefficient for two reasons. 1) The AC pump purchased must often be overpowered for your given setup to allow for flexibility. 2) By adding artificial impedance to your flow, electricity is wasted. The Vectra pump will always operate at the optimum efficiency because there is no need to use a flow restricting valve to achieve your desired flow rate.

Avoid this pump. By gary on 10/14/2017gary wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThe .75 slip connection, as noted by others is junk. Slipped off my pump twice. Pump was mounted externally running a Bio pellet reactor. Made a mess. I Do recommend the reef octopus Varios pump instead. .
Avoid this pump By Reeftripper on 10/12/2017Reeftripper wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI purchased this pump as an external pump to feed a Bio Pellet Reactor. I hooked everything up and turned the water on. The .75" collar popped off. (Made a major mess). I re-tightened it. And it popped right off again. This pump is unreliable and not to be trusted. To much hoopla about the technology and not enough quality control went into this pump. I do not recommend this pump. Sad as i purchased three Radion XR30w G4 Pro LED Light Fixtures recently too. I am now looking at those lights and wondering if that was $2500.00 dollars well spent. This pump was a wasted $275.00. Expected better.
BAD CONNECTIONS By Jim on 10/11/2017Jim wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI agree with Todd, The .75" collar is slipping when tightening it down. I had it plumbed in and ended up have to put it in the sump. Disappointed. It is also a disappointment that is does not connect to the Neptune Apex system. But I do like the wattage and flow I am getting!
bad connections. By Todd on 10/6/2017Todd wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI have ordered 3 of these pumps and having problems with the .75" collars slipping when tightening them down. it appears that the collar is not sized correctly and you can even wiggle on or off its so lose.
