Product Questions

I am building a 65 gallon reef tank. To sufficiently heat the tank I would need 2 of theses 150 watt heaters according to recommended tank sizes correct?
Question by: cody meyers on Jun 18, 2023, 4:26 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, that is correct.

Please let me know if you need anything further and take care!

Hello, I want to get 2 heaters, in case one of the heaters fails, the other will take over. So for a 230 gallon tank, if it recommends a 200 watt heater, do I get two 200 watt heaters? Or do I get two 100 watt heaters?

Thank you!
Question by: Jaime Lynn on Apr 2, 2022, 11:48 PM
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. You would want 2x 200w heaters. That way your take is getting the proper heating if one fails.

Please let me know if you need anything further and take care!

This sure looks like the plastic/epoxy encased Cobalt heater from several years ago that was responsible for frying or exploding in many reefers' sumps, mine included, and killing much livestock. So is it from the same manufacturer? (And please don't respond blithely that it's a completely different heater.) Thanks.
Question by: Fishtitious Person on Mar 21, 2022, 2:52 PM
Hey There, thanks for the question. Cobalt no longer exists and the rights were bought out by this company. These are brand new heaters. It is presumed, however, that the issue has been resolved and that the design has been modified.

Is it submersible?
Question by: Les on Mar 12, 2022, 1:34 PM
Yes, that is 100% submersible.

Is this the same as the Cobalt Neotherm? It looks the same, but wondering if it is a knockoff or a rebrand. Thank you.

This is a similar design to the Neo-Therm but is a completely different heater.
