- Schedule 80 Straight Barb x Male Thread
Barb/Insert x Male Thread. PVC Straight Insert Fittings for your plumbing needs. Use Schedule 80 Male Inserts where flexible turns and connections to fittings with female threads are needed. More professional look than white Schedule 40 PVC.
The golden rule of plumbing is that every job takes three trips to the store. While this can be frustrating locally it can be much worse when shopping online. Being short a fitting or two can delay a plumbing project for days. Here are some quick tips to avoid this.
- Plan your plumbing on paper.
- Don't skimp on unions. Unions allow for easy breakdown and maintenance as well as remove the need for precise elbow placement. Use them as often as possible.
- When in doubt order extra. We happily accept returns for a full refund (less shipping) on all unused fittings within one month of purchase. A few extra bucks in return shipping is less frustrating than a project delay.
Great product By Don on 3/13/2018Don would recommend this product to a friendHaving had to deal with the stuff from other vendors, I really appreciate the quality of these fittings. As well as a good price for the quality.
As Expected By Pump Action Jackson on 9/6/2017Pump Action Jackson would recommend this product to a friendWhen I need larger barbed fittings, I usually get them from BRS. I've never had any issues with them, they always fit to other standard fittings.
Solid barb adapter By Nick on 10/17/2012Nick would recommend this product to a friendI bought the 3/4" barb adapter to use on my Eheim 1260, and it was a perfect fit. The threads are an exact match with the stock Eheim pump, and it was dirt cheap, so there's not much else I can ask for here.

Will the hose barb on the 1/2" fitting fit on the tubing from the BRS GFO reactor?
The tubing on the GFO reactor is 1/2" outside diameter and is not flexible enough to work with barb fitting. Unfortunately the Reactor tubing will need to connect to quick connect or mur lok fittings. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
Does this use NPT threading?
They sure do!
