Great if Wired By Ricardo on 12/2/2018Ricardo would recommend this product to a friendI can understand some of the bad reviews as I had difficulties getting it up & running perfectly...that said HARD WIRED to your internet is the way to go with the reeflink...once I hard wired it all problems went away. Side note this does NOT need to be by your tank it can go right next to your modem or router plugged in...I love this product more functions are available than just using a 3rd party controller
Piece of crap By William on 11/10/2018William wouldn't recommend this product to a friendYou'd get more joy out of taking your $100 bill and setting it on fire. This thing is a piece of crap. Don't bother.
Makes controlling easier By Ronz69 on 9/2/2018Ronz69 would recommend this product to a friendNice feature once you get past initial setup and firmware updat for vortex pumps. Would like for app to have more presets to support pumps, seems it is geared mostly towards lighting.
Reef link is junk By Jeff on 7/23/2018Jeff wouldn't recommend this product to a friendWhat the few above say about the reef link is true, it’s total garbage, how can a company put out such good physical products but completely miss on the software side. What’s your problem Ecotech get with frigging program and revamp your totally crappy software.
Set It and Forget It By Brenton on 7/16/2018Brenton would recommend this product to a friendFirst off, I know it is annoying that you need to buy extra equipment when a wifi chip would due the trick. My guess is that will be the upgrade in the future. Anyways, I have been using mine for over a year now. When I first got it, I went through all the setups for the various pumps (vortech and vectra). It takes a little time to setup and properly calibrate but once you do, it unlocks the full potential of these pumps. Without this controller they are really just run of the mill pumps that look cool but can't swivel in the tank. The two problems with this equipment are; first, it loses connection with the pumps from time to time. Turn off the updates- fixed. They are annoying anyway and completely superfluous. Second, when you start having controller issues on your PS4, you need to move it farther from the console. Sounds dumb but it has to be plugged into the router and that's usually where your system is. If you are looking to unlock your pumps full potential then this is a must have.
just couldn't get consistent results By Gary on 7/4/2018Gary wouldn't recommend this product to a friendAfter several weeks of try to configure a Vortech and a Vectra, I finally gave up. The interface is confusing and the pumps are unresponsive. I just couldn't leave the system to it's programming with no way of knowing if everything was running as I anticipated. In addition, it would periodically lock up in a "refresh" cycle. One lasted several hours before I finally forced an exit. These are good, quiet pumps but, for me, manual schedules are more reliable and less frustrating.
Works well - sorta By Ksmmike on 4/5/2018Ksmmike would recommend this product to a friendThe reeflink and the lights all work great, however the software had to be rebooted and played with for longer than it should for it to find
the lights and reeflink. Once it finds everything, it all works great. In other words, the hardware is good, the software needs some tweaking.
Once I got it up and running it works awesome By John on 1/28/2018John would recommend this product to a friendI purchased this from BSR in Dec.2017. I had a bit of trouble setting up the reef link account on the web site but once I got in touch with EcoTeh customer service I had it up and running since. the customer support at EcoTech was super helpful, and made great suggestions on using there products. Delivery and packing was great as usual from BRS. Everything arrive in great shape and exactly when they said.
Reef Link By SoFLo Reefer on 1/9/2018SoFLo Reefer would recommend this product to a friendI have the reeflink for 2 tanks. One has an MP-10 and the other has MP-01 and Vectra pump. I found it super easy to set up, i simply followed the directions step by step. It's pretty cool to control everything from your phone without having to always bend over, get under the tank and turn off for feeding, cleaning etc. I don't really understand the negative reviews, I would have to assume a bad product sent from factory or they didn't take their time setting it up. If you have technical skills this should be a snap. I def recommend.
Reef link...maybe it will, maybe it won't ! Take 2. By Daniel on 11/13/2017Daniel would recommend this product to a friendI would like to provide an update to my previous review I submitted. After a call into ecotech support, it seems they have resolved my issue via some administrative change they had to do on their end. I won't even begin to try and explain it, but it was something I could and would not have been able to do on my side. While it's frustrating that the device did not work as "plug and play" as I would like, I must give credit to Ecotech for prompt customer service and resolving my issues. As I mentioned in my prior post, when the unit works, it works great. My unit is now working flawlessly so I'm very happy, and I would recommend the device to others, as I feel like customer service will be there to help work out any issues you may run into.
Reef link...maybe it will, maybe it won't ! By Daniel on 11/9/2017Daniel wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI recently purchased a Reef link along with two Radion XR15. I have owned 3 Vortech MP40 pumps as well. I have always been a fan of the vortech pumps, and I have been very pleased with the new Radion lights. However, where ecotech excels in those two departments, it obviously fails in their reef link product. When the reef link works, it works great. However, my unit seems to have issues picking up all my Vortech pumps. It will pick up 2 of the 3 all the time, but inevitably there is always one that it will pick up and then drop moments later. The frustration of dealing with this issue is not worth it. The unit seems to find my lights much easier than pumps (and these are the new QD models or were ES models that new QD drivers were purchased). I won't even begin to go into detail on the impossibility I had of trying to update the firmware on my ES models, which led me just to upgrade to the QD. So, in summary, if it finds the devices, the reef link is great....you may be the lucky one to have no issues. I have not been.
Great setup and its working great By Jerry on 11/1/2017Jerry would recommend this product to a friendI only use it for the Light as I don't have the pumps but for the lights, its great and my phone connects fine. So far so good :). I plan to use it for my other light that I get Friday. 11/3

Can I control the MP10W with this unit?
Do I need reeflink to access my mp10wqd from the ecosmart live app or sync with a second pump?
You will need to reeflink to connect the MP10 to Ecosmart Live. You can program the wireless pumps to run a master slave without the reeflink however it does make the process easier. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
Is this currently / will this become compatible with my AI Prime lights? I have seen the merger announcement which stated "Currently there are no plans to make the two brands compatible" but I believe that was in early 2014, so I'm not sure if there have been changes since then. My preference would be to use one system to control all my devices, and I don't think it'd be worth it to have only my Ecotech MP40wQD units controlled by this.
Unfortunately, the AI Prime is not compatible with the Ecotech Reeflink. Have a great day!
Can I use this with my gen 2 xr30
The Radion Gen 2's use the same RF signal and are compatible with the Reeflink.
Have a great day!
I'm either thinking of getting the radion Xr30 or xr15w is the reef link the only way to control the lighting through the phone or app or do the lights already come with a link in itself to have 100% control of them
According to the site if I buy a VorTech I am supposed to recieve 50% off of a reef link, however I go all the way through the order process without actually submitting my order and the 50% is not coming off. Any way to rectify this?
Every product that is eligible (like a VorTech) has two options on the page that you can add to your cart, either just the VorTech, or the VorTech + Reeflink where the additional cost for the Reef Link is only 50% of its normal price. You just want to add that particular product to your shopping cart.
How many different pumps/lights can u control? Currently have wxm but I have 4 rations and over 15 vortechs. I will sell wxm if I can control them all
The Reef Link is capable of controlling any combination of up to 64 devices. In fact, here at the office we probably have the better part of 2 dozen devices hooked up between all of our tanks, Radions, VorTechs, etc.
