With the OPUS G2 series, Nyos created ready-to-use reef aquariums that will satisfy the desire for quality, functionality, and aesthetics. Every detail was paid attention to and as a result, nothing distracts from the most important thing: The reefing experience.

OPUS Aquariums are available in a variety of aquarium and stand combos. The Pro-Line features a more cubic cabinet design with a slightly larger footprint and a concealed sand edge. The Slim-Line cabinet matches the footprint of the aquarium, leading to a sleeker design with a minimalist appearance. The Slim-Line and Pro-Line versions are available in your choice of either White or Basalt Grey.

    OPUS G2 Tank

The front and both side viewing panels are produced from ultra-clear glass so that the colors of the fish and corals appear more vibrant. The OPUS G2 is equipped with an external overflow box recessed in the back pane. With no interfering overflow box inside the aquarium, additional space is available for aquascaping and it's easier to keep the back of the aquarium clean. The back pane is finished in a precisely tailored dark shade of blue to create the perfect illusion of a realistic underwater world and depth effect. In order to detract as little as possible from the reef experience, only transparent silicone is used in the display tank.

    OPUS G2 Pro-Line Cabinet

Available in modern basalt gray or a timeless white finish, special attention was paid to the functional and aesthetic design of the OPUS G2 cabinets. Thanks to a durable melamine resin coating, the surfaces are extremely scratch and impact resistant. Furthermore, the cabinets are equipped with waterproof pads on the inside. The doors can be conveniently opened with the recessed push-to-open system and the height has been increased vs the G1 model, making performing maintenance in the sump area a breeze. Furthermore, the design allows for the bottom silicone seam as well as the sand edge to be concealed, giving the overall aquarium and stand combo a great look.

    OPUS G2 Sump & Plumbing

The sump included is simple, yet highly flexible. Nylon filter sock(s) are included to remove larger debris or uneaten fish food. In the second chamber, you'll find room for multiple devices such as a skimmer, media reactor, or algae reactor. With a constant water level of approx. 8", it's ideal for most protein skimmers.

The plumbing for all OPUS G2 aquariums is pre-assembled, meaning no PVC cutting or gluing required. The drain system is set up in a two-drain Herbie style configuration, which minimizes drain noise while also providing an emergency drain in the event of a clog in the primary drain.

I keep looking at this setup and am I'm leaning heavily toward this tank and stand. I want to do a fleece roller instead of filter socks. What size socks are these? I can't find that info online anywhere. I was wanted to make sure it was one of the ones that easily upgradeable with one of those drop in units.
