Expand your automatic fleece filtration with the Nature Dimensions N-Clear M Extension Unit. Designed for aquariums with multiple filter sock openings or filtration chambers, each Extension Unit adds another motorized fleece roller without requiring a separate controller or sensor. Connect it to your N-Clear M Main Unit, and all linked filters advance fresh fleece together when the Main Unit's sensor triggers.

The Extension Unit cannot operate independently. It requires an N-Clear M Main Unit, sold separately, and does not include a controller, optical sensor, or power adapter. One Main Unit supports up to two Extension Units for a three-filter setup.

N-Clear M drops directly into most standard 4-inch filter sock holders and fits select AIO aquariums with the appropriate mounting adapter. Can the Extension Unit operate on its own?

No. The Extension Unit must connect to an N-Clear M Main Unit controller. It includes a connection cable but does not include its own controller, optical sensor, or power adapter.

How many Extension Units can I connect?

One N-Clear M Main Unit supports up to two Extension Units. All connected filters operate in Sync mode, advancing together when the Main Unit's sensor triggers.

How long does a roll of fleece last?

Nature Dimensions estimates 3-6 weeks per roll. Actual lifespan depends on your tank size, bioload, flow rate, and sensor height.

How does an automatic fleece roller filter work?

Water passes through a high-density fleece sheet that traps suspended particles. As the fleece becomes clogged, the water level inside the Main Unit rises and triggers all connected filters to advance fresh fleece. The used fleece collects on each filter's take-up roll, removing trapped waste from the water flow.

Why would someone choose a fleece roller over filter socks or pads?

A fleece roller automatically moves dirty filter material out of the water flow, reducing the time trapped waste has to break down. It also cuts down on the frequent cleaning and replacement required with filter socks or pads.
