- ZEOmag Magnesium Granulate (1 kg) - Korallen-Zucht
Why does BRS recommend this?
When using a calcium reactor, the biggest challenge can be keeping the magnesium level stable. Anytime Bulk Reef Supply sets up a calcium reactor the ZEOmag Magnesium Granulate will be added with the calcium reactor media to keep the systems magnesium level as stable as possible.
ZEOmag is a magnesium granulate designed to be used with standard calcium carbonate media in a calcium reactor. It is most commonly mixed with standard calcium reactor media so that the ZEOmag comprises 10-30% of the mix. Primary benefit of using a media like this is it is one of the very few methods of maintaining magnesium levels in the aquarium without adding additional chloride or sulfate.
Good stuff By Jeff on 12/9/2017Jeff would recommend this product to a friendThis product works well. Just be aware that it will increase the pH within your calcium reactor for 2-3 days. Mine shot up to like 9.5 after adding zeomag, even with a heavy injection of CO2. After about 2-3 days my calcium reactor was acting normally again. Others have had similar experiences on other reefing websites.

GREAT!!! By David on 5/8/2013David would recommend this product to a friendI used to use Dolomite, but over time while cleaning my reactor out, i would find the media melted and the dolomite just sank to the bottom. I gave Zeo Mag a try, and its much better. It has a clean white color opposed to dolomites dirty color. Also, it dissolves over time and maintains Magnesium. it might be a few dollars more then dolomite but its thousands of times better.
You wont be disappointed.
What is the recommended ph for dissolving this product
