- Gyre XF330 Pump Kit with Controller (2350 GPH) - Maxspect
The pump that revolutionized water flow for aquariums has reached the pinnacle of design, performance and control. The 3rd Generation aptly named the Gyre 300 series incorporates all of the amazing features of the original Gyre pumps and improved them to make the best GYRE flow pump yet.
- Unique Flow Virtually Eliminates Dead Spots
- Evenly Distributed Linear Flow
- Discrete Design
- Twin Directional Flow Cages
- Clip on Flow Directors
- Waterproof Silent Suspension Magnet Mount
- Advanced Controller with Mount
The engineers at Maxspect completely redesigned the pump with less parts and a more intuitive assembly for easier maintenance of the rotors. Gyre 300 series pumps include an extra set of bushings to help reduce downtime while cleaning and keep your pump operating at full capacity. The new design has simplified this process of rotor replacement making it easier than ever to keep your pump pushing water at full throttle.
All of the Gyre 300 series pumps are compatible with the Maxspect Connect ICV6 control module so you can wirelessly control your pumps using the free Syna-G app from Maxspect. Any combination of pumps can be connected and controlled which means you can now operate a Gyre XF330 and an XF350 using the same control module all with a single power supply. This helps you to tailor the flow inside your aquarium perfectly to suit the needs of your corals without a ton of wires and bulky power supplies under your tank.
The most noticeable upgrade on the new Gyre 300 pumps is the detachable flow directors which are a welcome addition and allows you to place your pumps even closer to the surface of your aquarium without the worry of pulling a noisy vortex of air and improving surface agitation for maximum gas exchange. You can maneuver each director to point the Gyre flow of water where you need it. Best of all, the maneuverable caps block light from reaching the pump components and will reduce the rate at which algae will accumulate for longer operation in-between maintenance.

Cracked motor housing By Rolando on 11/7/2019Rolando wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI’ve had 2 Maxspect Gyre pumps. Both have had their motor pump housings crack. Maxspect won’t warranty these defective pumps for nothing. Their support won’t acknowledge the issue. They just give you a generic response saying they’ll give you 10% off the purchase of a replacement motor. This is ridiculous. Do not buy!!! You’ve been warned.

Awesome product, worth the price By Nick on 8/16/2019Nick would recommend this product to a friendI don't know about the other reviews on here, but mine is dead silent. My bean animal overflow is the only thing I hear from my tank. The flow on this this is amazing. I have a 75gal and this thing churns my whole tank on 50%, lifting detritus from previous dead spots. I initially wanted a power head that my apex could control from anywhere, but I'm glad I decided to go with the maxspect. Best money I have spent on my reef tank in a long time.

Perfect Wavemaker! By Ryan on 6/20/2019Ryan would recommend this product to a friendOur Malawi peacocks and haps are getting bigger and water quaility was becoming more challenging, so we invested in an XF330. Not only has it eliminated dead spots, in the few hours we've had it its already cleaned out the myriad crevices of the Texas holey rock center piece. I'm obsessive about water changes, so to see all the detritus flowing as advertised back to the filter intake, well, it's definitely money well spent. It's super quiet and was very easy to install. I programmed it to work in conjunction with their lighting and that was a bit tricky, but if you go to their site and watch the how-to video it explains in very well. I'm absolutely ecstatic about the entire process, from my dealings with BRS to the wavemaker!
Lots of flow but a little disappointing By zach on 4/13/2019zach wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI chose this pump over the discounted xf230 because one of the big upgrades is that they are supposed to be silent. The one I received is not. For the 1st hour there was a ticking noise like the impellers were rubbing something. After running in alternating mode this went away. Guess there was a burr that got knocked off. Been running for about 5 days now and there is still a annoying hum that is louder than anything else on my system. I have narrowed it down to the A side impeller or guard. The guard is noticeably looser fitting than the B side so I think that has something to do with it. Disappointed overall that I spent the extra money on the newer one for a feature I did not get. hopefully maxspect will offer a solution or the pump will break in and get quiet.
question By Philip on 3/15/2019Philip wouldn't recommend this product to a friendis this backwards compatible w the 230 series pumps?
