AF Lab Strontium is a highly concentrated strontium supplement for reef aquariums. Along with calcium and magnesium, strontium is an important element for the growth of hard corals. It supports skeletal development and helps improve calcium uptake, while also supporting the growth of soft corals.

In a closed aquarium system, strontium can gradually become depleted through filtration and protein skimming, making regular supplementation important. To more closely replicate the natural composition of seawater, AF Lab Strontium also contains barium, another element naturally present in seawater. The balanced ratio of these elements helps replenish strontium levels in reef aquarium water.

Recommended Dosage

Concentration:
10 mL of AF Lab Strontium increases the strontium concentration by 2 mg/L (ppm) in 100 L (27 US gal) of aquarium water.

Recommended Strontium Level:
5.00–15.00 mg/L (ppm)

Daily Dosage:
Dose 0.5 mL per 100 L (27 US gal) of aquarium water daily.

Maximum Safe Daily Dose:
Do not exceed 5 mL per 100 L (27 US gal) of aquarium water per day. If a larger adjustment is required, divide the total dose over several days.

Every aquarium is different, and the appropriate dosage will depend on coral stocking and the individual needs of the system. Both deficient and excessive micronutrient levels can negatively affect aquarium inhabitants. Adjust dosing based on regular water testing.

Important Note: These dosing instructions apply to the current AF Lab Strontium formula. Older versions of this product may have different concentration and dosing recommendations. Always follow the instructions provided with your specific bottle.
