Product Questions

Do I need the vertex mag xd holder for the vertex temp and ph probe or will the standard holder work?
Thanks
Question by: Lonny LaBlue on Aug 2, 2016, 10:22 AM
Hi there,
The Vertex Smart-Temp probe will need the XD probe holder since it is slightly larger in diameter than most other probes. The pH probe will work with almost all other types of probe holders but the temp probe does need the XD version.
Thanks for the question and have a great day!

On my last order I bought a vertex probe hold that said 3 standard size probe holes. I have a standard size neptune temp probe and it doesn't fit. So I have my ph probe in it but the temp probe is still in the makeshift probe holder I made to temporary hold the temp probe . I guess I should have known the temp probe was considered oversized and ordered the other holder. That would be a good note to add to the description of the holder. Not sure what to do now. It really should have this information in the descriptions of the probes.
Thanks

Hi Paul,

I am sorry about the confusion. What many people have done, including myself, is run the cord up through the holder and securing it that way. Its not quite as neat looking as the Mag XD Probe Holder but it will at least replace the makeshift probe holder.

I have had the product description updated to prevent this in the future.

I hope this helps!
Have a great day :)
