UNS R150 Reef System (118 Gallons)

Long known for their quality rimless aquariums, UNS continues that reputation with the R Series. These tanks carry forward the clean design and precision craftsmanship aquarists have come to expect, but this time designed specifically with saltwater setups in mind.

Each tank features a sleek white bottom, allowing for bare-bottom setups that disguise equipment within the integrated sump below.

The UNS Reef System lineup features an aluminum-framed stand with fully removable, magnetic doors for easy access during maintenance or equipment installation. The included leveling feet make setup easy, even if your floors aren't quite perfect.

The R90 and larger models include convenient pull-out drawers, controller boxes and space for personalized setup, optimal wire management and storage. Made to be modular and customizable according to your individual needs, each stand comes fully assembled with the sump pre-installed.

UNS Reef System stands are available in your choice of Grey or White.

All necessary plumbing is included with each system to provide in and out flow as well as a quick water change option. Simply place the tank on top of the stand, connect a few parts and you'll be ready to go.

Simple 1-2-3 Plumbing Setup

1. Screw the bulkheads into the overflow piping through the bottom of the tank. Begin with the bulkhead closest to the electrical box, working left to right.
2. Attach the plumbing of the return pipes, main drain, and emergency drain.
3. Attach the unions connecting the main drain and emergency drain to the sump.

Tip: Ensure all unions are fully hand tightened and have the appropriate gaskets and o-rings in place.

Manifold System

Aside from basic flow to and from the sump and aquarium, UNS' plumbing kit also has an integrated manifold using a 25mm barb and ball valve. This is helpful for anyone wanting to use a UV sterilizer or chiller.

Precise Overflow Control

The included gate valve allows for fine tuning of the overflow water level.

By rotating the gate valve left or right, you can allow more or less water to pass through the main drain and into the sump.

Unlike other systems that ignore the need for safe cable management, UNS includes a built-in controller box that provides a space for power bars and optimal cable management.

On the R90 and larger models, the bottom section may be used for a chiller and includes a viewing window for easy monitoring. Each controller board is removable and can be easily accessed by removing the left stand door while ensuring wires remain tucked away.

The integrated sump system provides comprehensive features. Gate valves ensure smooth water flow while minimizing noise, while additional ball valves and barbed fittings cater to external equipment needs such as reactors or chillers. The multi-chamber design includes a prefilter baffle to capture larger solids, reducing sock replacement frequency. Diffuser plates are incorporated to minimize noise and floating. 

• First Chamber: A gasket is placed below the drain pipe and sump to reduce salt creep before the water flows through the filter socks.
• Second Chamber: Specially designed to accommodate a variety of popular protein skimmers and their respective water level requirements.
• Third Chamber: Can be customized with desired media or used as a refugium.
• Final Chamber: Used to house a return pump.
