Prodibio BioDigest is a concentrated blend of natural beneficial bacteria designed to establish and maintain effective biological filtration in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Its multi-strain formula includes Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter, and Bacillus bacteria that work together to support biological filtration and the breakdown of organic waste.

Each bacterial strain performs a different role, with one strain continuing the work started by another. This complementary activity helps purify aquarium water, reduce nitrate and phosphate levels, and limit conditions that can contribute to nuisance algae and cyanobacteria. BioDigest is packaged in airtight, pre-measured ampoules that preserve the dormant live bacteria until they are ready to be added to the aquarium.

When Should You Use BioDigest?

How it Works

Dose one ampoule every 15 days.

Dosage:
1 BioDigest ampoule treats up to 250 gallons.

Step 1
Shake the ampoule to mix all ingredients.

Step 2
Place the cap on the ampoule tip and gently press with your thumb to snap it open.

Step 3
Over your aquarium, turn the ampoule upside down so the open end is facing downward. Place the cap on the opposite tip and snap it open to release the contents.

Note: For best results, turn off UV sterilizers, ozone systems, and protein skimmers for approximately four hours after dosing to give the bacteria time to colonize throughout the aquarium and biological filtration media.
