Nick wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI would only recommend this product if you are putting it on one time and leaving it connected. Upon unscrewing it for the first time I noticed some of the plastic threads showed a little bit of wear. By the 3rd time attaching it, it was unusable. Would skip this product for one with metal threads. -

Justin wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI had a bit of trouble getting this to thread on, I must have stripped the threads in the process. It worked fine with no leaks for a few days, but then started dripping pretty significantly. When I took it off to inspect it, I discovered that I had completely crossthreaded it. This is my fault for damaging it, but I would suggest that BRS carry an adapter with metal connection points. -

Zach would recommend this product to a friendI installed on of these under the sink and it worked as intended. No poking holes in my copper pipes! Sweet! Then I noticed it drip a drop or two of water here and there - maybe a drop every hour...nothing bad. So, I checked with the guys at BRS and they reminded me I needed to use teflon on the threads! I would recommend teflon paste over the tape for this particular application, because after I wrapped the tape around the male end of the valve, it was difficult to thread the fitting on - and then I ended up cross threading it. My mistake! Great product, just be careful when installing and be sure to use teflon.
Does this require a plug if you do not have the RO/DI system hooked to it all of the time or does it have a check valve that stops it from leaking if there is nothing connected to the Mur-Lok fitting? if it does require a plug, does BRS sell them?

We recommend this option with a ball valve if you are going to remove the RODI system that way you can stop the water from coming through. Have a great day!

If I instal this into my pipe do I need another valve to moderate the water input into the RO system? If so what is that valve?
