KX Technologies and Filtrex Technologies, both Marmon Water/Berkshire Hathaway companies, have teamed up to combine the very best of their Matrikx and GreenBlock carbon block lines, into a single world-class product offering. The new and improved product line is the result of decades of experience in R&D, design, formulation, and manufacture of high-performance carbon block filters. Matrikx ChloraGuard filters, powered by GreenBlock, are made from 100% coconut shell carbon, a renewable, and ecologically sustainable material. The carbon is processed into blocks using a unique binder system and proprietary manufacturing techniques to produce filters with a greater number of micro-pores and available carbon surface area, which display superior adsorption capacity and kinetic dynamics. The companies are committed to Research and Development to advance filtration technology in an ecologically sound way
best of the group By Wannabereefer on 3/9/2020Wannabereefer would recommend this product to a friendFor the past year the water in my town has been a mess not even drinkable, Chlorine levels and other chemicals are high, I tried 3-4 different brands all 5 microns, still had problems keeping chlorine at zero and had to replace carbon blocks every 2-3 months. Before modifying my RODI to add an additional block decided to try this one and after 6 months continues to keep chlorine and other chemicals levels at 0 (ATI-ICP), this is a 1 micron after a 1 and 5 microns sediment cartridges, pressure is not dropping and is not clogging. This filter is amazing, others are rated at 20k @ 1gpm this one is 30k @ 1gpm.
Is this the best or only product for removing chloromines? Also, where should it be placed in my RO/DI set up? I've got a 5 stage system.
We recommend using two of these: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-universal-carbon-block-filter-1-micron.html for chloramines. They should go after your sediment filter and before the membrane.
Do you sell these in bulk?
Unfortunately we do not, just in the single refills.
