This is a great question and we consulted with the manufacturer about this.
The answer is No, you can control more than one light. The Bluetooth controller offers two independent channels.
What is usually necessary when attempting to control more than one light depending on the number and type of of lights used (XHO, LumiLite Pro, LumiLite), is a larger power supply. For example, the XHO X Series Kits come with a master power supply to control 2 or four XHO's depending on which kit they purchased. The Bluetooth controller plugs inline between the power supply and the XHO's controlling up to four of them using the two channels. The LED kit we did for BRS awhile back powered five XHO's with three Blue on one of the channels and two 50/50 XHO's on the other.
Again the LED kit came with a larger master power supply. In the end the power supply, not the controller, determines the number of lights you can control. For customers who want plug and play and not have to worry about which power supply to purchase etcetera we offer the controller plus which includes a heavy duty master power supply and can easily run multiple XHO's. It is more expensive than the standard controller.
Reef Brite also offers an alternative controller "controller plus" which includes a heavy duty master power supply and can easily run multiple XHO's.
