Efficient Low Energy Pump By David on 12/10/2018David would recommend this product to a friendElected to try this pump due to the small size, high flow, and extremely low energy consumption. Since it was used in a cube, the most diffused adapter was used to produce a wider, less direct flow pattern. Now everything in the tank really moves and I no longer have to worry about corals being blasted with direct flow. Will be replacing my larger Sicce Voyager with another of these soon.
Less power than anticipated By Morry on 1/12/2018Morry wouldn't recommend this product to a friendNot any better than my old 1150 gph Hydor.Even removed all face plates to get more flow. It is very quiet and smaller.I will probably go to a different brand next time.
awesome! By Trever on 12/18/2017Trever would recommend this product to a friendJust picked up 2 of these for a 75G reef tank. Love them. Ultra quiet. Easy to install and adjust. Very strong magnet/suction cup. Will be buying more of these for my other tank very soon.
Good Product By Steelsoul on 8/15/2016Steelsoul wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI set up a 90gal salt tank, and purchased 2 of these powerheads. I have 1/2" thick glass and the magnets work perfect. As a note I tried to set the powerheads up on the glass without water in the tank and the magnets wouldn't work properly but I waited till tank was full and they both work like a champ(they must use the water suction to partially hold the weight). I am currently cycling the tank and I used carib sea arag alive Fuji mix(fine grain) these powerheads do blow the fine sand around, so I am going to add a few bags of the arag alive Florida coral (large pieces) to hopefully combat the sand movement. Only thing I wish the manufacturer would invent is Bluetooth on the outside the glass magnet, where I could connect using a smartphone and change the flow rate and/or move the powerhead, save us from getting arms wet.
Reall cool design, but the color By alan on 6/30/2016alan wouldn't recommend this product to a friendLow profile and slick looking powerhead. The only issue is part of the housing is red colored. It sticks out like a sore thumb why couldn't it have just been all black :T
Works great so far By Shawn on 1/5/2016Shawn would recommend this product to a friendHave two 2450's up and running for about a month. All good so far. Provides very good flow for a 48" width. Very quiet.
Excellent in Every Way But One... By Chris B on 10/20/2015Chris B would recommend this product to a friend(1350 Model)
This powerhead has great flow output, especially for the power, which can be changed from direct and narrow to softer and wide using the 3 flow "guards". If you do use them, it does drop the flow (1100-950 gph depending on attachment), but I wasn't concerned. Directional adjustability is great, only being bested by few such as Tunze. Gone are plastic mounts, so no worrying about breaking them, and the magnet system holds well. It also cuts noise to the point that the only thing I can hear from it is the cord on the rim of the tank, which is virtually non existent.
Now the drawback. Though the size is quite good for the output, and COULD be hidden, for some awful reason they decided to make the motor housing PINK! It sticks out way too much, more so from the front. Maybe I won't clean all the coralline algae off it keep it camouflaged a bit, though I shouldn't have to if they thought about the color choice.
Overall I'm very very happy, but that damn Pink!
