Maximize Coral Growth with the cTech T-2 Calcium Reactor

  • Engineered for Aquariums Up to 500 Gallons
  • Efficient Up-Flow Design
  • Space-Saving with Easy Media Access
  • Built-In pH Probe Holder
  • Includes CO2 Recovery System

The AquaReady cTech T-2 Calcium Reactor is designed to simplify dosing for your reef tank. Its up-flow design efficiently mixes saltwater, calcium carbonate, and CO2 inside the reaction chamber, eliminating the need for daily two-part dosing. With a sleek, space-saving design, a removable lid for easy media access, and a seamless body, the cTech T-2 is a standout choice.

Precision Engineered

Engineered with computer precision and the latest aquarium technology, the AquaReady cTech T-2 delivers exceptional performance and value. Despite its compact size, it’s rated for aquariums up to 500 gallons. The reactor includes an effective inlet filter to trap particulates, extend pump life, and simplify tuning the effluent drip rate. The high-quality pinch valve ensures precise effluent control, while the simplified inlet and outlet designs enhance efficiency. A unique pump baffle enclosure minimizes noise.

Innovative Features

A built-in pH probe holder allows you to monitor pH levels with a pH monitor or control CO2 with a pH controller. The CO2 recovery system re-injects excess CO2, reducing CO2 usage and minimizing waste. Designed with the aquarium hobbyist in mind, the AquaReady cTech T-2 Calcium Reactor features a seamless, computer-cut enclosure. Maintenance is a breeze with thumbscrews and keyhole flanges for easy lid removal.

The reactor is powered by an Italian-made Sicce Syncra 1.5 pump, known for its small size, energy efficiency, and quiet operation.

Product Questions

What’s brs opinion on this for someone who has never used a calcium reactor? What else is needed? Difficultly of use? What all dosing can stop with a calcium reactor? I have a mixed 180 with 240 total gal

Hi Alex,

Thank you for reaching out to us here!

To mention before going into what else you'd need:
- This unit actually has a built-in pH probe holder, which would allow you to monitor the pH levels with a pH monitor or to control CO2 with a pH controller. The CO2 recovery system installed already in this unit works by re-injecting excess CO2, reducing CO2 usage and minimizing waste. Designed with the aquarium hobbyist in mind, the AquaReady cTech T-2 Calcium Reactor features a seamless, computer-cut enclosure. Maintenance is a breeze with thumbscrews and keyhole flanges for easy lid removal.

What else we would recommend for a calcium reactor:

- Reactor media (aragonite / “coral skeleton” media) for the reactor to dissolve.
- pH controller (optional but highly recommended) to maintain stable pH in the reactor chamber (commonly ~6.5-6.8) so that effluent composition stays consistent.
- Plumbing / tubing / mounting in your sump or external location. Ensure the reactor fits the physical space, plumbing, overflow safety, etc.

You can stop / greatly reduce:

- Daily dose of major calcium supplement (i.e., stop dosing calcium separately if reactor supplies sufficient).
- Daily dose of alkalinity supplement (2-part alk side) if reactor covers both calcium + alkalinity. Reactors automatically maintain stable alkalinity and calcium levels.
- Possibly stop (or reduce) certain trace-element additives if your reactor media also provides some trace elements (many media do).

Happy Reefing!
