- A-Series Mounting Arm - Kessil
The Kessil Mounting Arm is a rigid arm that allows your Kessil light to be suspended over your tank by clamping onto the aquariums rim. The mounting arm has an adjustment for height, as well as distance making it a perfect mounting solution for any Kessil light. With its integrated cord channel, there is no more need for plastic zip ties to manage the cables because they will route cleanly inside of the Mounting arm itself.
Front to back adjustment works for 18" to 24" wide tanks
Dimensions: 1" x W 12.32" - 15.43" x H 20.78"
Mounting compatible with:
Note: AP700 Requires 2 Mounting Arms
Kessil and Aqua Illumination HMS Bracket By Darrell on 12/12/2017Darrell would recommend this product to a friendSome modification and I used Kessil mount with Aqua Illumination Hydra 26 HD light. A lot sturdier than gooseneck mount and looks good too. Also used Aqua Illumination HMS bracket with mount and light. JBJ Rimless 30 tank.
Kessil Great Customer Service By Joshua on 9/28/2017Joshua would recommend this product to a friendKessil has great customer service, I lost the C clamp adapter for the A160 Tunas and they are sending me another. This will help me mount these arms and Im liking the cord management here.
Nice alternative to the gooseneck arms By Darrell on 9/13/2017Darrell would recommend this product to a friendI'm very happy with these over the gooseneck arms I was using previously. I wanted to add some measurements that I wasn't able to find anyplace (and my question here never got answered). If you are using this on single lights, they work great on tanks much narrower than the description says.
From the center of the vertical tube, each of the mounting holes in the closest position measure 8", 9.75" and 11.25" But the mounting bracket puts the vertical tube about 2" being the back glass of the tank, meaning you could center a single light over a 12" wide tank.
Great for A360w By Brian on 6/26/2017Brian would recommend this product to a friendThe picture of this product fooled me at first. Didn't realize it was for single lights AND panel lights.
Mounting hardward inadequate for my tank By Mervin on 6/1/2017Mervin would recommend this product to a friendI wanted to mount my AP 700's with these mounts but found that the mounting hardware would not properly fit my tank due to the plastic rim on my tank. What I ended up doing is making a mounting board that attaches to the wall behind the tank and then installing only the slide through holder to that. I was bummed at first but attaching the lights like that meant that I didn't have to have my tank three inches from the wall to accommodate the thump screws on the back. Now the thumb screws are on the tank side and easily accessible for adjustment if need be. I've also been thinking of just replacing them with allen set screws to clean up the look even more.
Kessil could do way better in the design of these mounts for their high cost. The slide through bracket could be drilled and tapped for installation of the thrum screws/set screws on the back, and sides to allow more flexibility for installation. Buyers should also be warned that this mount may not necessarily fit their tanks. I just threw four machined brackets and plastic blocks in the trash.
Easy to use By bubblebuddy747 on 2/12/2017bubblebuddy747 would recommend this product to a friendUsed to mount 2 a360we over my 120 gallon rimless, Looks gorgeous, easy to setup and allowed me to remove a canopy that I had been using to hold the lights. Have been using the lights with my canopy for a long time but could never quite put the lights where I wanted due to its construction. These let me put the lights right where I wanted them and my corals are responding very well.
Flawless By Jason on 10/24/2016Jason would recommend this product to a friendThese A Series mounts are FAR superior than the goosenecks! I believe they are worth the extra money!
Best Kessil arm ever By Lance on 8/18/2016Lance wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI was looking for a way to hide the wires on my A360we and this item solved that issue flawlessly
Love this mounting arm. By Beemer07 on 1/23/2016Beemer07 would recommend this product to a friendI bought this to use in place of the original gooseneck for my a360we, love it all the wires go through the top piece and down the back of tank, no more wrapping wires around that gooseneck. Much more heavy duty and sturdy.

The A series can work great even over the smaller 10 gallon, The light will mount about 8" from the back wall outside of the tank. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
Unfortunately the A series mounting arm will have a little too much reach for your tank. They can only be adjusted to center the lights over a tank of 18" to 24" in depth.
A fantastic option would be two of the kessil A arms, and two of the Kessil A360's which can mount to the arms and hide the cords. This will mount on either side of the overflow and spread the light evenly across the tank. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
This will work with rims up to 1.25" wide. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
While intended for that purpose, half the fun of this hobby is putting our ingenuity to work to create a solution! Adapting this for a wall-mount would definitely be a do-it-yourself type of project, so I'm afraid we couldn't really advise on that application, but where there's a will, there may be a way!
You could easily remove the tank clamp and affix the mounting arm to the wall using the bracket with screws. Be sure to screw into a stud, use drywall anchors, or otherwise reinforce the wall for a solid ans safe install.
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not list load or weight limits of these arms, as they are intended to be used with their specific lighting fixtures. You could reach out to them directly and see if they may have those specifications available. :-)
Two mounts will be required for the Ap700. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
