Keeping your aquarium on a consistent feeding schedule with vacations, work trips, or just everyday busy life can be challenging. Add picky fish who only eat frozen foods into the mix and it's a real headache. This is where the inD aquatics comes in. They developed the aF4 Automated Feeder to take care of frozen feeding for you! It holds up to 50 frozen cubes and uses RSW Cooling Technology to keep it all fresh in liquid form for at least 20 days. That means no more rushing home to feed, compromising with dry food, or relying on an inexperienced tank sitter to care for your aquarium.

The aF4 sits outside your tank on a stand, shelf, or cabinet and delivers food through a 6-foot feeding tube with a secure Multi Aquarium Mount. You can control exact feeding volumes between 5mL and 50mL, and once it's set up, your fish will get fed whether you're out for the day or gone for two weeks.

After each feeding, the unit automatically rinses itself and includes a deep clean mode to keep things running smoothly. The removable reservoir makes prep and cleanup easy, and a built-in condensation drawer helps keep moisture under control. If there's a power outage, the feeder picks up where it left off so your fish don’t miss a meal. It works with rimless, euro-braced, and rimmed tanks. (Rimmed tanks require a separate adapter).

• Silicone Tubing Brush: A small brush for cleaning out the silicone feed tube. Helps remove buildup and keeps the line clear (color may vary).
• Silicone Reservoir Brush: A larger brush that fits the aF4 reservoir. Makes it easy to scrub out leftover food and film.
• 32 Cleaning Tablets: Tablets made for use with the aF4’s cleaning cycle.
• Silicone Reservoir Lid: A spare silicone lid for the aF4 food reservoir.
• Techweave Sleeve (180cm | Approx. 70"): Covers the feed tube to help with insulation and keep things tidy, especially if your feeder is a few feet from the tank.

Neptune Systems Apex Compatible

The aF4 is equipped with a standard 0-10V input, making it easy to integrate with your Apex Controller or any other controller that supports 0-10V output. This allows you to schedule frozen feedings directly through your existing automation. The aF4 0-10v Link Cable (sold separately) is required. A Neptune Systems VDM Module can be added if your Apex doesn't have an available 0-10V Port.

Do I need an Apex Controller to use the aF4?

No. The aF4 operates as a stand-alone piece of equipment. Integration with the Neptune Systems Apex or other aquarium controller is totally optional.

The aF4 is designed to work with standard frozen food cubes. You can also pre-mix custom blends and store them in the removable reservoir before loading into the unit.

Does the aF4 work with rimmed tanks?

Yes, but you'll need the optional rimmed tank adapter. Out of the box, it works with rimless and euro-braced aquariums using the included Multi Aquarium Mount.

Do I need an Apex Controller to use the aF4?

No. The aF4 operates independently, but if you want to automate or schedule feedings, it can integrate with an Apex or any controller that supports a 0-10V output. A 0-10V Link Cable is required for Apex integration.

Can I control the aF4 wirelessly?

The aF4 can be controlled wirelessly via inD aquatics' inD connect accessory (sold separately). We offer the aF4 + inD connect bundle for those looking for wireless control out of the box.

What happens if the power goes out?

The aF4 requires power to operate, but includes a power resume function that automatically picks up where it left off once power is restored.
