Mr. Aqua 12 Gallon bookshelf tanks comes in two different types of glass. Either standard glass which is going to be the most economical option, then they also offer Low Iron glass which gives the tank an extra clear appeal making the glass almost invisible. Most standard glass will give a slight discoloration to your fish and corals, but unless you are looking at the two tanks side by side it is hard to see a difference with the naked eye. For the slight extra cost of the Low Iron glass with the Mr. Aqua tanks we would highly recommend it.

Glass thickness: 6mm

Dimensions: 35.4" x 8.3" x 9.4"

Total Volume: 12 US Gallons

Mr. Aqua aquariums has been producing some of the finest nano and pico tanks on the market. With their low cost and simple "glass box" design, it is much easier to customize to your needs than all in one aquariums. All Mr. Aqua tanks have a rimless design with super clean silicone sealing the tank together for years of beauty.

The Bookshelf tank is great for placing in a room you wish to have a bit of life in, but dont have endless amounts of room. We like to use Tonga Branch Rock, or Reef Saver rock in the bookshelf tanks with their dimensions.

Low Iron glass for enhanced clarity

Is there a lid for this 12 L tank?

The tank does not come with a lid. You could build a DIY Screen Net Top for it, which works better than glass or plastic tops by letting more light through and allowing the tank to "breathe".
