Red Sea Foundation A (CA/SR) By juschillin2 on 5/17/2015juschillin2 would recommend this product to a friendI used the powder form of this Foundation A for the first time. I am very pleased with the results. It has saved me lots of time and money and I don't seem to be supplementing CA as often, by using it in conjunction with Foundation's B and C.

Same product as the liquid, but much cheaper By Lindsey on 1/27/2014Lindsey would recommend this product to a friendPersonally I love the red sea line for a number of reasons I won't get into. The liquids are convenient, but I also like to save my reefing budget for more coral, so the powdered versions are a win for me. They mix to the same concentration as the liquid bottles, but you can make multiple bottles from each jar of powder. For this calcium, 1 powder jar will make 3 and just over 1/2 of the 500 mL bottles. That makes it about 1/3 the price.
One tip: do invest in a decent scale that will weigh in grams if you do not have one, easier and more accurate that way.
Red Sea 2.2 pound powder part A. How much powder do I mix with 1 gallon of water to get the proper solution? And the same question for part B powder to get one gallon.
I have included a link to the Red sea instructions on the product. For part A it is listed as 2.2lbs (1kg) per 3.8 pints of water. for Part B it is listed as 2.2 lbs (1kg) per 21 pints of water. This information can also be found directly on the manual on page 11. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
