The ¼" push connect bulkhead tank adapter is a great solution for connecting ro tubing through hard-walled barriers, such as sump walls or container lids/caps. These come with a plastic nut to secure the bulkhead to the container wall, but do not have a gasket. These are designed for above-water applications and are not intended for to provide a water-tight seal around the bulkhead.

Installation Hole Size: 3/4"

Product Questions

hey my alkalinity consumption is around 150 ml per day. I have a 10 liter bucket. Can I mix the powder all at once, and connect to the dosing pump. Of course I am using acrylic tubing and bulkhead. But I am just asking do I need to shake the supplement once in a while, so the powder doesn't sink to the bottom. If so, how often do I need to shake it. Will you recommend me to do that, or its better to mix less at a time.

There is no problem with mixing larger batches of 2 part solution, and we often make up larger volumes for our systems. Once mixed, the BRS 2 part solutions will stay dissolved and do not need to be stirred or shaken, and can be left to dose through your choice of deliver pump.

Happy reefing!

Hey there,

The Mur-Lok fittings we carry are made of white polypropylene.

Have a great day!

Does this have a rubber gasket to prevent leaking. I want to install this on an ATO plastic container.
Question by: shawn on Mar 26, 2017, 1:18 PM
Hey there,
This bulkhead is only meant for dry, above water applications as the fitting does not have a gasket or o-ring to provide a water-tight seal.

Have a great day!

Would I be able to use this with the DOS air line tubing?
Question by: Alvin Alejandro on May 23, 2016, 6:27 PM
Great question! Unfortunately the DOS tubing will not be an exact fit.

Do you think this would this work to convert a bottle (e.g., of NO3:PO4-X) to a dosing container, by drilling the lid to accommodate this bulkhead, and attaching a 1/4" Clear Acrylic Tube (your SKU: 207841) of the appropriate length to dangle inside the bottle (also assuming the lid is drilled to allow air in)?

Good question. Unfortunately it cannot be as water would still travel through different parts of the fitting. Its meant for non-submerged applications like running a tube through a cabinet, etc.
