Even Spread & Coloration
Once you put the XR30 Diffuser on the Ecotech Radion LED light you will instantly see a better balance of light throughout your aquarium. PAR tests have proven that even though the overall peak PAR numbers will decrease, the lower light areas will actually receive more light from a diffused source. The overall light loss is around 20%, and since a majority of us do not use even 80% of the available lighting output, the PAR loss can be combatted by increasing the overall power delivered to the LEDs.
Easily mount your Radion XR30w directly to your standard or rimless tank with the EcoTech Marine XR30 RMS Mounting Bracket. The sleek design is super sturdy and is easy to adjust the light for perfect positioning over your aquarium. The mount is made from aluminum and includes grooves that will hide the power cord keeping the light mount looking clean.
Why Ecotech Radion Lighting?
Ecotech has refined its line of Radion LED units over the years to become one of the best LED units on the market today. Now with Micro-fin cooling technology and HEI Optics increasing the color blending capabilities while also increasing the overall spread. With unmatched control through the ReefLink controller and EcoSmart Live programming, a LED unit can’t get much easier than the G4 series of Radion LED Lights.
Why go PRO?
- Peaks higher around 420nm
- 12 additional LEDs proving a fuller spectrum
- 40 additional watts of power
- Adds Violet and Warm White channels
Revolutionary HEI Optics (Hemispherical Edge Illumination) are now incorporated in all G4 Radion LED lights. HEI helps deliver better uniformity, spread, and overall color mixing allowing the Radions to come very close simulating Halide/T5 combos without any added heat or energy usage. The lens geometry of the HEI Optics offers a significant improvement over standard optics and even TIR lenses spreading the light over a greater area, allowing your tank to have a more even spread of light without any major hot spots.
The completely redefined heatsink of the G4 series of Radions now has Micro-Fin cooling creating more surface area allowing for a quicker heat transfer and dispersion allowing for more passive cooling, and less need for active cooling. Along with the heatsink's cooling fins, a computer driven, silent, IP55 cooling fan allows for active cooling over the Micro-Fins letting your light shine brighter and last longer!
The web based interface lets you control all of your Ecotech Marine products through the cloud. Through your smartphone, tablet, or computer you can control the G4 family of Radion lights anywhere you have internet access. The ReefLink Controller creates a fully inclusive device management system, with the use of the Vortech propeller pumps, Vectra return pumps, and Radion lighting, create an authentic ecosystem that you can control right from your fingertips.

Tuning Your New LED Light
Most LED lights will actually put out more light than your corals will actually need and without a PAR Meter to test the overall output, it is really hard to guess if the light is too dim or intense. We highly suggest using a PAR Meter to test the output of your lights at different points throughout your tank that you can use to tune the lights output or know where to put specific corals.
