Unreliable. Horrible Customer Support. By Christopher on 7/2/2018Christopher wouldn't recommend this product to a friendHeadline says it all. The biggest flaw is that is that it loses connection and doesn't tell you. So you don't know that it's disconnected unless you check. That defeats the purpose of having the unit in the first place.
Contacting support for defective units is a waste of time. They will run you through a bunch of pointless tests via email only getting back to you once a day. Simple troubleshooting to PROVE to them that the unit is defective will take a month (wasting a slide). Once they know it's broken, they stop communicating with you. Why would they get back to you? You mean nothing to them. They already have your money.
I'm sure its works fine but... By John on 1/26/2018John wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI took FIXINGITSTILL's advice and bought an Azulle Access Plus 4 gig stick PC - Full Windows 10 installed. Works great since I have a TV close to my tank. As a side note, I can also stream movies to my TV from the stick PC. The Seneye app, running on the little stick PC, is continually reporting back to the Seneye cloud and I've set up alerts there Can also run the PC without a keyboard/mouse/ TV monitor. Just use Remote Desktop from my Mac (across the room) to the stick PC. In that case, just stuff the tiny Stick PC in your sump area.
Glad I purchased this By Donald on 11/9/2017Donald would recommend this product to a friendHaving just finished installing this along with the sensor, I am very pleased with how well things went. Plug this into my network switch, connect the sensor, and connect power, login to the Seneye site and register my items and it's done and working. The information being displayed is extremely useful and I don't have to mess around with yet another Microsoft product.
Since this is on my fish quarantine tank I am not using the PAR features but once I have my coral quarantine up and running I will as well as on the display tank.
The only thing I am uncomfortable is the site does not support https. In fact I could not connect to the site with Google Chrome and needed to use Firefox.
Here is a better option... By fixingstill on 9/26/2017fixingstill wouldn't recommend this product to a friendHere is a better option... Get a stick PC that runs windows. It is about $80 and you load Teamviewer on it for remote controlling and you can run other programs on it. No way I will spend $200 on a web server that does nothing but to allow data from a USB device to be sent to the cloud.
Is the seneye web server wireless or does it need to be connected to a router?
