Biofilter Starter for Freshwater and Marine Aquariums
- Quickly Establishes and Enhances Aquarium Biofilters
- Helps Prevent New Tank Syndrome
- Supports the Breakdown of Ammonia and Nitrite
- Contains Heterotrophic and Autotrophic Bacteria
- Safe for Freshwater, Marine, and Pond Systems
NT Labs Satus Biofilter Starter helps establish and strengthen aquarium biofilters by adding beneficial bacteria and microorganisms that support the breakdown of organic waste, ammonia, and nitrite. It is designed for use when starting a new aquarium, during routine maintenance, and after events that can disrupt biological filtration.
Satus contains NT Labs’ Satus organism, which helps rapidly remove ammonia and break down organic waste under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. It also includes a concentrated blend of heterotrophic and autotrophic bacteria that help convert harmful ammonia and nitrite into less toxic nitrate.
Satus can be added directly to the aquarium or filter, where the bacteria will travel through the water and colonize surfaces to form a biofilm. When starting a new aquarium, consider using Satus alongside NT Labs Optimus to help condition tap water and support a safer cycling process.
Safe For:
- Freshwater Aquariums
- Marine Aquariums
- Ponds
- Planted Aquariums
Directions
Shake well before use. Add 5 mL per 50 liters (approx. 13 gallons) of aquarium water on the first day. Add 5 mL per 100 liters (approx. 26 gallons) daily for 7 days. If dosage is maintained for the full 7 days, fish and other aquatic life can be added to the aquarium. For improved biofilter function, add 5 mL per 100 liters (approx. 26 gallons) monthly.
Dosing Tips:
- Turn off UV or Ozone. Turn them back on 2 hours after adding Satus.
- One capful is approximately 5 mL. For smaller volumes, each cap thread is approximately 1 mL.
- Dose again after filter cleaning, water changes, adding new fish, or completing a medication treatment.
Note: Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
