Great food for broad cast feeding / better as a paste By Blue on 5/10/2018
Blue would recommend this product to a friendThis like other fine particulate powder foods are great for broadcast feeding filter feeders and some corals.
To use this and similar products correctly or rather more efficiently mix it up with less water into a thick consistency.
Add enough water to make it easier to suck up into a pipet OR coral feeder then gently release a controlled amount onto the hungry coral. Great way to feed corals with night time feeder tentacles and they will absolutely gobble it up. Easier to digest and less wasted energy feeding leaves the coral with more nutrition and energy to focus on growth.
Try it this way and see the difference for your self.
I also use a lot of BRS Reef chili in the same manner, most of the time mix the two making a fine dining experience for my critters -
If Done Correctly Amazing Results By Mical on 3/12/2018
Mical would recommend this product to a friendBroadcast feeding corals seemed ok. Following Billy Pipes YouTube video and spot feeding corals twice a week and most doubled in size in about 30 days. -
Excellent product By Fred on 3/10/2018
Fred would recommend this product to a friendAll my corals; leathers, zoas/palys, SPS and LPS; all love this stuff. Growth and color have improved and it hardly leaves any mess. My fish even eat it off my coral sometimes!
Great product! -
Absolutely recommended! By Dave S. on 9/25/2017
Dave S. would recommend this product to a friendSame as I said about Reef Chili, it truly works. Doesn't matter what type of coral you have they ALL respond well. It also saves me from having to bother with mixing and preparing frozen foods that are a mess before and after the feeding.
Zoas, Mushrooms, Monti's, Goniopora, Gorgonian, Acropora and others all immediately respond and look better and colors are more vivid also.
This in tandem with Reef Chili Feeds the whole tank including your fish. Easy to mix and a little goes a long way. Easily disperses in your tank and simple to remove through all filtration means. One container will easily last you about a year to 8 months even with daily feeding, depending on the size of your tank of course. -
Did not like it... By john on 5/14/2017
john wouldn't recommend this product to a friendUsed in my SPS 120and noticed very little feeding response nor increase in growth rate over the course of 3 months.. Only saw a lot of film accumulate on the surface. Also, pollutes water heavily requiring more water changes, tighter management of parameters and robust filtration. Definitely not worth it. -
AWESOME Product By Pam on 2/20/2017
Pam would recommend this product to a friendI love this product for feeding coral. I combine it with the Reef chili and have seen some GREAT growth on my corals. I even have a few smaller fish that like the extra pieces they can catch. -

"Roids" -- Yep, accurate naming. By PR on 1/9/2017
PR would recommend this product to a friendI have a new tank with only about 7 relatively new frags sitting in there so far. The LPS in the tank so far are small frags of Galaxea, Brain Coral and Xmas Favia so these were the ones I was primarily looking to feed... and holy cow did they respond. The first time I put this in the tank, target feeding them, they opened up in ways I didn't even know they did! I now add a small amount every day or every other day for broadcast feeding and I target feed it once or twice a week. I have visible growth on these LPS so far -- but they are young frags so I can't say for sure it's from the Roids... but I can tell you they love them. My serpent star and nassarius snails also go nuts when this stuff is in the tank.
Highly recommended, i'm looking forward to seeing long-term effects. Just remember that a little goes a VERY long way... Be judicious with its use. -
Amazing Results By DrChop on 8/30/2016
DrChop would recommend this product to a friendI have only used Cyclopeeze or Ocean Nutrition Frozen Reef cubes in the past and decided to buy the Nano Reef Roids on the recommendation of my lfs. WOW!! My zoas are loving it as well as my gsp and various other frags. I think my favites brain coral has shown the best improvement in color, growth and overall appearance. The zoas though, wow! spread wide open, happy and full. none are all pinched up at all. we will see over time how the colors blossom, but so far, I have been very impressed. Highly recommend this product. -
