  • Very good By Mark on 8/8/2017

I ordered one of these for my refugium (I used a PAR38 LED grow bulb, which had built-in reflectors). It feels like a high quality piece of equipment, the gooseneck is stiff enough to feel very secure in positioning, and the screws attach it securely. My only 2 gripes - one of the three screws didn't thread (not a big enough issue to send it back for; 2 screws feels secure as well), and there isn't any soft rubber or plastic for the metal clamp or screws so I used some pieces of plastic mesh
  • Good, but beware. By Greg on 7/13/2017

The PAR38 bulb doesn't actually fit in this fixture. If you screw it all the way in to 'hand tight' you run the risk of breaking that little piece of plastic. Look at the close up under the switch. That bottom half unscrews for some reason. I tried tightening the bulb in and it forced the threads out and cracked that part. Held together with electrical tape now.

Easy to mount, holds the light well. Does what you expect it to do.

Will this fit on a trigger systems crystal sump
Question by: Bob Escher on Jan 25, 2017 8:05:00 AM
Great question! Unfortunately, with the extended lipped edge of the sump, this will not fit properly over it. :-)
