Great food By James on 1/17/2018James would recommend this product to a friendI thaw a pack of this, rinse in RODI to remove nutrients, mix in seaweed pellets (hikari) and some selcon and refreeze on wax paper, then cut into squares and feed one square in the morning. Fish have been plump, tabby, very colorful and mixed reef corals are doing well also. Without rinsing, though, I have found nutrient levels get too high. I agree with others that getting it direct from BRS is the way to go; fresher, not thawed and refrozen potentially many times as when bought in LFS.
It is good By Alfredo on 11/24/2017Alfredo wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI have tried Rod's and it is good, but it is 2nd or 3rd best after LRS Reef Frenzy. It is not as clean. I have never ordered it from BRS, but I am sure that the #1 issue people have with it will NOT be a problem if you order from BRS because their service and shipping are #1. I have personally found when I have seen it at shops is that there are ice crystals in it. Which means it has been defrosted and refrozen at least once. At the black Friday price though it is a very good deal! If I were ordering other frozen food right now I would probably order a pack just to mix things up.
Top Notch Service! By Matt on 4/12/2017Matt would recommend this product to a friendI'm not really writing to review the product. The people who use it, swear by it, and I'm one of them. I'm writing to review BRS shipping/fulfillment. They use dry ice, and the food arrived frozen solid. Whenever I've ordered frozen food from other places in the past, it arrives as slush. BRS packages it great and keeps it frozen. It's expensive to get it shipped, but if you can't get it locally, it's totally worth it! just buy a lot to make it more worthwhile. (The one thing I'll say about Rod's Food is that every critter loves it, and a little goes a long, long way).
Great Food! By Shane on 9/20/2016Shane would recommend this product to a friendI Talked to these guys at MACNA and decided to give it a try. My pair of clowns havent been breeding for the last year or so. The night I started feeding this they started laying eggs again and their color is much more bright and vibrant than ive seen them in years. All the coral loves the nice meaty chunks and smaller pieces too. I will be adding this to my feeding regimen.
