- Nori Grazer - Zen Reef (DISCONTINUED)
Feed your fish in style with this innovative Nori Grazer feeding tool from Zen Reef!
Most seaweed feeders are bulky and cumbersome to use, or don't hold the seaweed well and allow it to break down and float away, getting trapped behind rocks or sucked into the filtration. This is the perfect feeding tool for Angels, Tangs, Rabbitfish and Butterflies. The compact, clear acrylic design of the Zen Reef Nori Grazer creates a very low profile feeder that keeps your fish's food secured inside while encouraging natural picking behavior as fish feed through the many small feeding windows.
- Allows your fish graze throughout the day while minimizing waste by keeping the algae sheet contained yet accessible.
- Simply remove one of the end caps and insert a rolled up sheet of seaweed.
- Low visual impact.
- Custom uncoated N52 grade neodymium magnets keep the Grazer securely in place.
- Wet & dry side magnets are completely sealed in an acrylic housing to protect them from corrosion and are both completely submersible.
- Dimensions: 1" x 1.75" x 5"
- Maximum Glass/Acrylic Thickness: 3/4"
Good idea but could be better By Peter on 2/13/2020Peter would recommend this product to a friendI like how it looks and a different and better option for feeding nori. The main downside is that the screws for the end caps don’t even fit into the holes that they’re supposed to go in. It came with 2 sets of end caps and not one of the 4 screws will fit either hole. So I guess I’ll be leaving them off. I like the product but I’m disappointed that I can’t use it as advertised and the lack of attention to make sure parts fit where they’re supposed to
Good idea, poor design By Jeff on 1/22/2020Jeff wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI was initially happy to see a new offering for feeding nori other than a clip or a mesh option that better contained the sheets of nori. But after receiving 2 units they fell short on a few points. First the end cap design is troublesome, they used screws to hold the caps on and if you accidentally over tighten them you can easily break the acrylic bond on the square assembly. I accidentally did this on 1 of my 2 units. Second the acrylic bonds are questionable, see previous point. It seemed to take very little pressure to pop a bond on the acrylic. Finally the slots/holes for feeding are too small for larger fish. I had to end up leaving the ends off since my larger foxface and yellow tangs couldn't feed through the normal openings. It would be nice to see a new design with improved features and build quality.
Needs a few tweaks By Andrew on 1/20/2020Andrew would recommend this product to a friendCons: When I opened the box I noticed the dry side magnet was sealed by hand due to the excess glue smeared around the magnet and the parts aren't glued together straight. A little more attention to detail is needed. The magnet has rubber for padding. After 10 minuts in the water the rubber made it so I couldn't move the magnet with the dry side.
Pros: Fish are able to pick at the algae for a significantly longer time. Magnet is see through so you can inspect for corrosion.
I plan to switch out the rubber padding with something that will slide easier on glass. I was hoping this would look nice enough to leave in the tank but the magnet is an eyesore.
