Replace two filter socks with automatic fleece filtration using the Nature Dimensions N-Clear M Main + Extension Value Kit. This kit pairs a Main Unit with one Extension Unit, giving aquariums with multiple filter sock openings or filtration chambers a coordinated two-filter setup. Both rollers trap suspended waste and advance fresh fleece together when the Main Unit's optical sensor triggers, helping keep your water clear with less hands-on maintenance.

The included Main Unit supplies the controller, optical sensor, and power adapter for both filters. Connect the Extension Unit using the included connection cable to run them in Sync mode. For larger systems, you can add a second Extension Unit, sold separately, to operate up to three filters from the same controller.

N-Clear M drops directly into most standard 4-inch filter sock holders and fits select AIO aquariums with the appropriate mounting adapter. What is the difference between the Main Unit and Extension Unit?

The Main Unit includes the controller, optical sensor, and power adapter that operate the system. The Extension Unit connects to the Main Unit using the included connection cable. It does not operate independently or require a separate controller.

Do the two filters advance independently?

No. Both filters operate in Sync mode and advance together when the Main Unit's optical sensor triggers.

Can I add another Extension Unit later?

Yes. The Main Unit supports up to two Extension Units. Adding a second Extension Unit creates a three-filter setup rated for approximately 120-180 gallons with combined flow up to 2,400 GPH. Choose your configuration based on actual flow, bioload, and the number of active sock openings.

How long does a roll of fleece last?

Nature Dimensions estimates 3-6 weeks per roll. Actual lifespan depends on your tank size, bioload, flow rate, and sensor height. This kit includes one fleece roll for each filter.

How does an automatic fleece roller filter work?

Water passes through a high-density fleece sheet that traps suspended particles. As the fleece becomes clogged, the water level inside the Main Unit rises and triggers both filters to advance fresh fleece. The used fleece collects on each filter's take-up roll, removing trapped waste from the water flow.

Why would someone choose a fleece roller over filter socks or pads?

A fleece roller automatically moves dirty filter material out of the water flow, reducing the time trapped waste has to break down. It also cuts down on the frequent cleaning and replacement required with filter socks or pads.
