Nyos LYQ-RED Coral Food is a concentrated LYQ-RED food solution for corals and invertebrates. It contains microparticles in the 5-20 µm range, marine algae, and larger zooplankton components such as Calanus copepods (2mm). Due to this broad spectrum, it is suitable for all types of corals and anemones. It is rich in amino acids, omega 3-6-9 fatty acids and astaxanthin.

Why use LYQ-RED in your reef tank?

Corals can only take in food if the particles are the right size. SPS corals usually prefer tiny food in the 20µm range, while many LPS can handle larger pieces up to about 2mm. Nyos LYQ-RED Coral Food includes a mix of particle sizes so a wide variety of corals can enjoy it.

With a blend of important Omega 3/6/9 fatty acids, amino acids, and trace elements, it provides a balanced source of nutrition. It’s made to hold onto its nutrients in the water and not break down right away, helping corals grab and absorb it more easily. Plus, it’s designed to feed corals without adding a bunch of extra phosphate or dirtying up the tank.

Dosing Recommendations

Exact dosage will depend on your tank's coral load, but a daily dosage of 10 ml per 250 gallons of aquarium water is a good starting point.
