Using high quality filters will lead to better water quality as well as longer lasting filters which can save a ton of money down the line.
This kit is designed to treat all major water sources including well water and water treated with chloramines or chlorine. This kit will work with all 5 stage RO/DI systems including the BRS 5 Stage Systems and any competitor systems that use industry standard 10” filters.
- GE ROSave.Z 1 Micron Depth Filter
- (2) BRS Universal 1 Micron Carbon Block Filter
- 1.25 lb. Color Changing DI Resin Refill
The 5 stage Value Replacement Filter Kit has been upgraded with the latest in carbon block technology and the best five stage RO/DI solution to universally treat for chloramines, chlorine and well water. The kit includes the upgraded GE 1 micron ROSave.Z true graded density depth sediment filter, two new 1 Micron BRS Universal Carbon Block and a BRS Color Changing DI Refill. This kit can be used with legacy 5 Stage BRS RO/DI systems and all major competitor 5 stage RO/DI systems that use standard 10” filters.
Recommended installation for this package:
- Stage one: GE ROsaves.Z 1 Micron Sediment Filter
- Stage two: BRS Universal 1 Micron Carbon Block
- Stage three: BRS Universal 1 Micron Carbon Block

There is no direct answer as this will vary on your source water. Using a TDS meter you can tell when the water coming out of your unit has increase and we tend to recommend changing all of the bottom filters when the TDS is above 0 and the RO membrane once every 2 years or so depending on the TDS on the In stage.
Assuming your DI cartridge is refillable, this is the kit you're looking for: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-4-stage-value-replacement-filter-kit.html
When it comes to the membrane that is a bit trickier. Your system likely has a restrictor set for 90 GPD, but in my opinion I might recommend a 75 GPD membrane and a new restrictor. The 75 GPD membrane offers a 99% rejection rate, but will produce less water in 24 hours. The closest thing we would have to an outright replacement would be our 100 GPD membrane:
It is always a good idea to flush the RO membrane before and after use for about 5 minutes using a flush kit. I would suggest flushing for a little longer after replacing the filters. Many of our systems have them preinstalled but they are also available here: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/membrane-flush-valve.html.
If you have any other questions please let us know!
I have included a link tot he 5 stage universal kit (which will replace all the bottom filters) and another link to the RO membrane which will need to be changed once every 203 years typically. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
