Hybrid lighting is a mixture of either LED and T5 or Metal Halide and T5. The technology that LED brings to the aquarium industry is simply amazing but many reefers do like to stay with a tried and true method of T5 lighting as well as have the control of LED lighting. The ATI and Giesemann LED Hybrid fixtures even feature dimmable T5 ballasts.
