More than I expected! By Travis on 12/5/13Travis would recommend this product to a friendI recently purchased 59 lbs of rock from you guys. After the U.P.S guy struggled with the box up my stairs! I weighed the box and had just under 67 lbs. Three big pieces and the rest were nice mini basketball sized pieces. No rubble, found it a breeze to work with. I was able to cut it, aquascape just how I wanted it! I was even able to carve a piece into an Easter island head!! You truly knocked it out of the park BRS!!!
Goby Resort By Andrew on 12/2/13Andrew would recommend this product to a friendBought this for a 50g cube & the pieces that BRS were perfect!!! My diamond goby & golden head goby enjoy hiding in the many hiding places. Coral is easy to place without the use of coral glue, in most instances.
Great looking solo pieces By Sabina on 11/21/13Sabina wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThe individual pieces look great but it's hard to make them flow together. I tried chiseling and sculpting but it's WAY harder than I though. It is very large for its weight. Next time I will use reefsaver. So not perfect but it's ok.
Pukani Dry Rock Rocks By Laz on 11/19/13Laz would recommend this product to a friendVery satisfied with the purchase of Pukani rock. It is very porous and light for its size. There are lots of nooks and crannies for fish to hide and place coral. Great looking as well. Now onto the curing process!
20"+ Rock By Jason on 11/16/13Jason would recommend this product to a friendAs part of a aquarium redesign, I ordered 3 20"+ of this select rock. The pieces I received were great looking. They were well packed and had very little break off pieces. The fish also have tons of hiding spaces in these rocks.
Great rock By Jeff on 11/5/13Jeff would recommend this product to a friendThis is my second tank to set up with this rock. I love how light it is.
It's massive... By Richard on 11/4/13Richard would recommend this product to a friendI ordered 140lb of PUKANI... It arrived in 3 large boxes, well packed with little breakage... Some of the largest hunks of rock I have ever seen - they are HUGE, and I didn't really make any special requests. - Phosphate levels are high, but acceptable... Don't forget to cure the rock...
Nice rock By Bill on 11/2/13Bill would recommend this product to a friendI went with reef saver for my larger display tank. Wanted to try something different for a cube I'm building so I went with the pukani. I think it has a more natural look than reef saver, but I still prefer reef saver in larger applications because it so easy to aquascape with.
AWSOME By Charlie on 10/22/13Charlie would recommend this product to a friendordered 50lbs pukani and 50lbs Fuji for my new 120gal reef tank
got much better then I expected. Plenty of nooks and crannies for critters and frag plugs, and some BIG pieces.
Great rock. Very porous By Philip on 10/17/13Philip would recommend this product to a friendVery porous, light, and full of crevices and openings for good bacteria to culture. Only downside I had was that it started to leach phosphates. Not bad though and I got it under control very easily.
Amazing Assortment of Rock! By Scott on 10/15/13Scott would recommend this product to a friendI just got my order in of this rock yesterday and I will say that I am very happy with my purchase! This rock is very porous and has tons of spots for small inverts and pods to hide in. I got lots of very nice pieces of all shapes and sizes and I can not wait to break out the dremel and see what I can do with it. The best part is that I ordered 90 lbs and received about 106 lbs.
THIS STUFF IS HUGE! By Jake Wilkerson on 10/15/13Jake Wilkerson would recommend this product to a friendI ordered 35lbs and boy did I get my money's worth. The rock looks great and came in big pieces to give you the opportunity to shape them how you like. Very little rubble. Maybe a half a cup.

How many pounds would I need for a reef tank with dimensions of 36x17x25 approx 65 gallons? Thanks, Eric.
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Eric,
For a nice middle of the road aquascape, 1lb per gallon is a good ballpark value (so 65lbs). Never hurts to have some extra though, helps with aquascaping when you have more rocks to chose from and if you end up with extra's you can always throw them in the sump, break them up to use as frag plugs, etc.

question about the pukani rock. how many pounds is one rock
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Dana,
No two rocks are the same but a football size piece will generally be right in the ball park of 7-8lbs or so.

The 20+" pukani. Are they all about 20+" or are some bigger. The rocks smaller than 20". Would I expect to get rocks as small as 5 inches. Or are they just under 20". Will I get a variation of sizes.
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Dana,
The 20" + pukani is rocks that have a dimension that is 20" and bigger. They can get much larger then 20". Rocks that aren't 20" or bigger would all have dimensions that are smaller then 20".
BRS Pukani Dry Aquarium Live Rock - our lightest and most porous and full of holes that become nice homes and passage ways for your tank's inhabitants. Like all of our dry rock, Pukani is free of nuisance algae and pests which can cause complete tank shut downs. It is guaranteed to be free of apitasia, bubble algae, parasitic isopods, mantis shrimp, acro eating flat worms, little red bugs, fire worms, predatory nudibranchs, pyramidellid snails and other common pests.
Using Dry Rock has the following advantages:
- Low initial cost on premium types of rock.
- Pound for pound a way better value - no water weight.
- Can be shipped standard UPS ground which saves a fortune on shipping.
- Absolutely pest free. This is the most important reason. This allows you to completely avoid all of the most common aquarium pests that plague most aquarists.
NOTE: This rock does come out of the ocean and may have some dead material on it such as sponges or other critters. We strongly suggest soaking or curing the rock before use in an active aquarium.
Dry live rock is not available for shipment to Canada due to high tariffs. Please consider Reef Saver rock as it is not subject to these fees and is our favorite of the dry rocks available.
