Natural Aragonite Media for Stable Calcium & Alkalinity

  • Made From Fossilized Coral Skeletons
  • Coarse, Porous Structure Prevents Channeling
  • Supports Calcium, Alkalinity & Trace Elements
  • Designed for Use in Calcium Reactors
  • Available in 8.8 lb and 44 lb Sizes

ReBorn Calcium Reactor Media by Two Little Fishies is a premium aragonite-based calcium reactor media that's been a trusted choice for decades. Made from sustainably collected fossilized coral skeletons, ReBorn closely matches the natural composition of reef-building materials, helping support healthy coral growth and stable water chemistry.

The coarse, highly porous structure allows for excellent water flow and efficient CO2 penetration inside the calcium reactor. This helps the media dissolve evenly which means more consistency and less maintenance and frustration. As it dissolves, ReBorn releases calcium, carbonate alkalinity, and other beneficial trace elements that corals use to build strong skeletal structures.

Product Questions

I used to have this in my sump as recommended from LFS. I am wondering if I could use this instead of sand on my bared bottom reef tank?
Question by: CJ on Jan 24, 2017, 7:24 PM
Awesome question! You absolutely can use this in your tank as a substrate. It's just like using a bag of crushed coral. :-)

What is the shelf life of this product? I am debating on just buying the 44lbs instead of buying two of the 8.8lbs, and just have plenty available when it is time to add more to the calcium reactor.
Question by: Michael Pham on Jul 2, 2016, 2:43 PM
Hey Michael,

You can definitely go with the 44lbs. The product is simply dry coral skeletons, so no degradation of any kind will take place in air.
