Jump DC pumps deliver powerful, controllable flow at an affordable price.

With their first venture into the return pump market, Maxspect looks to shake things up and depart from the typical mold. While the Jump series pumps follow a very different aesthetic, it's the guts of these pumps that matter. Jump DC pumps feature leading advancements like Sine Wave technology and simplified controls for a combination of features, reliability, and price that we believe adds up to true value.

The included four button controller means no extra apps to download, or bluetooth you have to connect to. The external controller can be mounted discreetly to your aquarium stand and gives you access to all of the capabilities of your pump. You can select between 20 different flow speed settings, as well as pulse modes and a feed mode, all free of annoying pump noise thanks to the Sine Wave technology operating the motor. Most aquarium pumps use a traditional electrical current that alternates sharply resulting in more noise at a higher decibel level. JUMP pumps use a Sine Wave Pattern that alternates in a much smoother pendulum. The noise reduction is nothing short of remarkable. If you’re looking for an affordable, controllable, and near-silent return pump, this is it!

Product Questions

What is the flow at 6ft using a 1/2 inch house?
Question by: Jason Goodson on Apr 8, 2020, 8:48 PM
Hi Jason,

The flow chart provided by the manufacturer states that you should be getting about 8000 L/hr or 2100 gph at 6 feet of head height. I would assume that is using either 1.25" or 1.5" tubing with no plumbing fittings factored in.

As for flow with 1/2" hose, there accurate way of calculating every possible plumbing configuration at a given height due to the infinite number of variables presented by plumbing configurations.

What I can say is that you are going to get MUCH more flow out of this pump if you upsize the plumbing from 1/2". Smaller pipe drastically adds to the overall head pressure (height) on a pump with all other factors remaining constant.

Take for example SCH 40 PVC at a siphon: A 3/4" pipe will move 660 GPH and a 1" pipe will move 960 GPH where as a 1/2" will only move 420 GPH.

I hope this helps!
