excelent LED light By Paul on 5/31/13
Paul would recommend this product to a friendAfter years of have 96w PC on my 125g, I bought 3 of these for my 220g reef tank. These LED will last me years and worht the investment . Amazing light and adjustability. Love the programming feature via the computer. The lights are powerful a illuminate the tank beautifully. Cant wait till the tank gets more corals in it as I'm in the set up stage. -

Bithunter would recommend this product to a friendI do like the lights; very nice colors and flexibility. However, I think the programing interface is overly complicated. You need a PC/MAC to program. The ecotechlive site is not ready for primetime. Could not get the time to reprogram using the live site. It kept defaulting to GMT. I had to go with the PC client to set the time on the lights correctly.
Each time you program the lights, the program has to be written to the lights themselves.
I also own a bunch of AI lights. I like the controller on the AI lights much better. Especially the ability to reprogram with out PC. It's just a hassle to have to drag out a PC, hook up USB to program the lights. Granted, this should only be needed occasionally. The buttons on are hard to remember what they do. First couple of days I had to refer to the manual to figure the button sequence to control lights locally.
I do understand this is new concept for lights. Previously it was just on/off. Now you are mucking with time and colors. -

Like the guy here at BRS say it like looking at a real ocean reef vs looking at a photo of a reef. Only negative I can say is I wish you were able to communicate with them wirelessly -

Bobby would recommend this product to a friendI absolutely love this light. As with all Ecotech products it's built solid. Easy to set up. My SPS are doing great! It took about two weeks for them to adjust but they are looking great. Corals are happy. Fish look beautiful. Very low heat if any. I usually will always post a con about a product however I haven't found one yet. I can't say it's to expensive because it's not in comparison to other led's. Ecotech live is just awesome. Thanks you Ecotech for another amazing product! -

Bobby would recommend this product to a friendThis light is great! It's very bright and beautiful at 100%. It has a great spread. I'm using 3 units on my 220 gallon reef (72X24X24) and it is perfect. The wireless control, fully customized controls, ease of use, beautiful coloration, and quality of build is what gives this a strong five stars. The unit, as with all Ecotech products, is very well built. I absolutely love them. -

PryorRods would recommend this product to a friendI jut bought these for another large reef I'm setting up in the house. You'll have to go online to set-up and figure them out as the instruction manual is pretty vague. Because, my tank is 3' deep, I was going to go with the Ai's because of the huge PAR difference over the Radions, but since the price dropped, I figured I'd give them a shot. Very, Very nice! -

rob knasel Reef Tank Adventure wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThe LED's are actually 32 not 34 now. If you are adding this light to an existing Generation 1 light, be advised the light spectrum will look different in your tank, through all phases of the program. I have calibrated all of my lights and this one stands out amoungst the rest. This is not just a TIR addition.

Do you have to have a computer to run these lights?

You don't need a computer to run them, but it does make the initial programming easier and give you more options. All you do is connect it via a USB cable, set the light to how you want it to operate and then it will save the settings (it doesn't need to stay connected). -

The Radion's are made to cover up to a maximum of a 2ft area. For a standard 75g tank like that you would be looking at 2 of the Radion lights. -
