Photo sensor that will allow the Tunze 7090.050 controller which is now included with all Tunze Nanostream and Stream pumps to turn off at night when no light is available and then turn back on when your light is on.

When no light is available the 7097.050 photo sensor will turn your pumps off automatically by picking up how much available light is being picked up by the sensor. When the light is on the pumps will ramp up to follow the max settings on the controller. The photo sensor should be placed directly under your tanks lights and will follow the photo period of your light.

Product Questions

I'm a little confused...what is this? Is it a moonlight? Or just something that turns off your pumps at night?

Hi John,

This is a photo (light) sensor that will allow the Tunze 7090.050 controller to turn off at night when you lights go off and then turn back on when your light is on.

Happy Reefing!

I have a pair of TUNZE 6055 with 7090 CONTROLLER FOR each pump and I was wondering would i NEED TWO of these Turbelle Moonlight Photo Sensors or just one. My pumps are going to be running off of my Apex and when my Hydra HD LED's go off I want my pumps to go off..

Hey there,
If you have a Y adapter cable controlling both pumps from a single 7090 controller, you can just get 1 photo cell to controll both pumps.

Have a great day!
