Definitely a good buy By Russell on 11/24/13Russell would recommend this product to a friendI have got, I think about 4 of them, one in my food room, two on my holding tanks, and two on my storage tanks love them, change that to 5, i did not get all of them from BRS, BUT i will now...
Awesome! By TxAdamFitz on 11/11/13TxAdamFitz would recommend this product to a friendWorks as expected. Install was easy. Kit was inexpensive. No more mopping up the RODI room!
Great product! By Greg on 10/28/13Greg would recommend this product to a friendVery easy to install and works perfectly.
good but leads to rapid cycling By drsalomon on 10/14/13drsalomon would recommend this product to a friendIt is a reliable, good starting valve but will rapidly cycle your RODI system when your ATO slowly draws water. This may lead to decreased lifespan of RO membrane. Better would be an actuated solenoid triggered on with low float valve that stays on until a more highly placed second valve shut's it off. My system needs to have a booster pump and the rapid cycling during ATO drawdown is very harsh on the RODI system and my membrane prematurely died.
Perfect By Cameron on 10/5/13Cameron would recommend this product to a friendDefinitely a good buy. Don't have to worry about forgetting to check if my container is full. Super easy to install just drill 1/2" hole.
Should have gotten it long ago By David on 10/2/13David would recommend this product to a friendThe product was exactly as advertised but comes with no instructions. Easy enough, you just drill a hole in the side of the intended storage container for the RO/DI water at the level you want. Insert float, attach the washer and connector to the RO/DI output line and presto. No more watching a timer or overflowing onto the floor. Making water is now so easy I don't even think about it.
4 out of 5 because of the lack of instructions.
Simple with quality By salt135 on 9/15/13salt135 would recommend this product to a friendEasy to install and simple to use, a no brainer.
BUT, I would like the float to drop to it's lowest position before allowing water to flow. I have a 2 gallon fresh water make up tank with RODI water and would like it to empty mostly before triggering the refill.
In it's use now I close the fill valve leading to the float and let the tank empty before refilling. The float acts only to prevent the 2 gal tank from overflowing. That's good but...... When on vacation and friends are watching the tank, I leave the valve open and the 2 gal is always filled. I guess that's good enough for low tech!
Great product By Todd on 9/15/13Todd would recommend this product to a friendcould not be easier to install.
Non adjustable float valve.... By Frank on 9/11/13Frank would recommend this product to a friendI purchased the standard float valve along with my 5 stage RO/DI unit. The valve is simple and robust.
Drill a hole in container, inset with included rubber washer into container, tighten nut, install RO line and DONE!
Not everything in reefkeeping has to be hard.
Save yourself the headache and get it By Mike on 8/15/13Mike would recommend this product to a friendI finally got around to picking up a few of these after one too many floods. I have 1 installed for my auto top-off and another in a container I'm using to mix my salt water. It takes only a few minutes to install.
Awesome By Kyle4201 on 8/12/13Kyle4201 would recommend this product to a friendI thought I was buying the adjustable one, but the reg one works just fine. I bought my 1st R/O unit and I had no doubt in my mind I was going to get 1 of these. I had plans for a toilet tank flow stop rig untill I saw this. Great time and life saver
Essential Purchase forWater storage By Craig on 8/5/13Craig would recommend this product to a friendI bought the non adjustable version. This was easy to install on my water storage tank and it works as advertised. Product shipped safely with no issues

What is your suggestion for a type of quick disconnect for this valve? Reason being is I like to fill smaller containers with the same line and would like to be able to disconnect the line without having to rely on the pinch fitting to hold up over the long term. thanks!
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Chris,
The valve itself must use the compressing fitting so your best bet is to just hook up a short length of tubing and then use a quick connect union to connect the tube from the unit to your float valve. That will give you a quick and easy location to disconnect while not having to mess with the compression fitting. Better yet, you could use a 1/4" inline ball valve which is basically a union with a valve in the middle. That way you can turn the valve off, disconnect from the float, move it to your next container and open the valve back up.

How do you suggest hooking your reverse osmosis system to a storage tank that would lead to a kitchen faucet?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Ryan,
The best way to see how it all hooks up would be to watch this video on the 5 stage drinking water system installation. The setup would be basically the same for any setup might just be longer runs of tubing, etc. Give it a watch and if you still have any questions let us know!
NOTE: To shut off your waste water you will need an auto shut off valve and check valve. If you don’t have these please purchase the “Auto Shut Off Kit.”
