Picked up a new RODI from Bulk Reef supply and also picked up this John Guest valve because I preferred not using the including the vampire valve or the included plastic fittings.
Valve is built like a tank. Installation is really nice and it works as advertised.
BUT make sure you're purchasing the product you need. The BRS kit comes with 1/4" push connects that will not fit this valve without some adaptors. Thankfully my local Lowe's had everything I needed to get this going.

A Professional Method to Hook Up To A Water Supply Line. By Lee on 8/24/10
Lee would recommend this product to a friendI love these adapters. Before these I would install a new shut-off valve on the cold water supply line under sinks. This makes it so much easier. All you have to do is turn off the water supply valve by turning it clockwise. Loosen and remove the existing 3/8" water supply line to the faucet. Attach and tighten this new 3/8" stop adapter and tighten. Attach removed existing water supply line to faucet to this 3/8" stop adapter and tighten. You are finished! Make sure this 3/8" stop adapter is turned to off before turning the existing supply valve counter clockwise to turn back on the water supply. You can now easily insert 1/4" tubing into the quick fitting on the end of this new adapter and use the on/off valve to control the flow to your new RO Unit, instant hot unit, ice maker, water filter or whatever... Works great. This is a much improved method over the old saddle valve units that not only take longer to install but are also prone to leaking and failure later on. If you ever need to relocate your unit these 3/8" stop adapters are so easy to remove and relocate or reuse. As BRS says: it's a no brainer!

John Guest Angle Stop Valve's directly connect RO units to the household water supply. It installs under the sink, inline after the shut-off valve. This clean, out of the way installation leaves faucets free for other use. To turn of water supply to the RO unit for maintenance simply close the ball valve.
