Product Questions

Ok Ive been debating which of these ATIs to purchase 48" 4 bulb or 6 bulb? My tank is 48"L x 18"W x 21"H. My intentions are to start off with softies and LPS but possibly add SPS after some time and tank seasoning. Will a four bulb provide the needed PAR for SPS as long as they are in the higher elevations of the tank? Im pretty certain that it will be sufficient for LPS. Secondly and this is where the train goes off the track, would the 6 bulb, even though its 13" wide on an 18" wide tank, give better coverage and also allow more flexibility of bulb choice. Tell me I'm just overthinking this whole thing, haha. Im about a month away from needing the fixture.

Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to selecting a fixture for you LPS/SPS tank. For this tank you could go with the four bulb and be just fine with strategic placement of the SPS corals. The biggest advantage of the six bulb version on your tank would be allowing for higher light demand SPS corals to be placed near the bottom of the tank. As far as bulbs I personally like to run a 50 50 of the coral plus and blue plus bulbs by ATI. For my bulb choice the six bulb would not give me any more variation. Please let me know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!
