Works Great for 200G Saltwater Mixing Station By Kyevey on 3/5/2014Kyevey would recommend this product to a friendI bought 4 of the 1" Uniseal.
Had no issue with the installation. Seal fit snug prior to inserting the PVC. Once the 1" PVC was added it was a perfect seal, no leaks...
I've been using with high power Iwaki pump which creates a bit of vibration with the PVC and the Uniseals absorbs the vibrations much better than any Bulkhead could!
GOOD By JWEPPEL on 2/26/2014JWEPPEL would recommend this product to a friendBOUGHT THE 1", BE CAREFUL WHEN CUTTING HOLES. DID IT TO ROUGHNECK GARBAGE CONTAINER FOR SALTWATER MIXING STATION,AND STARTING OUT ON 2 OF 3 HOLES DIDNT QUITE CUT A CLEAN,ROUND, NO BURR HOLE. AND SOME LEAKED. WENT BACK AND PUT SILICONE ON THEM NOW FINE.
works as should By gavin on 2/18/2014gavin would recommend this product to a friendi bought a the hole saw to make a water station for my tank. The seal was allittle loose but holds water good
Simple and easy By eric on 1/5/2014eric would recommend this product to a friendUsed several of these on brute containers to build a water storage/mixing station. Work fantastic.
awsome By Denton on 12/25/2013Denton would recommend this product to a friendThis is an excellent piece great idea all the way around easy and fast
Excellent By Scott on 11/24/2013Scott would recommend this product to a friendI used these on my salt mixing station. Perfect seal the first time on a rounded barrel. It does take a bit of work to get the pipe into the seal, but soapy water helps it along nicely.
Works, though some issues on very curved surfaces. By PuffDaddy on 10/15/2013PuffDaddy would recommend this product to a friendThese work well. Except when the surface is too curved in relation to the bar you are inserting. I attempted to put 1" PVC into a 3" PVC section. I was not able to insert the pipe. The 1/2" into the 3" worked like a charm though. I feel like these are intended for joining PVC to less curved surfaces. make sure your ratio of main diameter to insert diameter is above 4:1.
these rock too By the hack on 9/29/2013the hack would recommend this product to a friendlove em
Perfect product By Grover on 9/29/2013Grover would recommend this product to a friendI used this product on a Bee hive feeder.
I drilled a hole through the side of a Bee Hive Installed the 3/4" uni-seal then cut ~2" long 3/4" schedule 40 pvc pipe glued on 3/4" elbow and inserted into the side of the hive and added clear tubing so the feeder can be refreshed without opening the hive.
great for the price!! By solarmoonman on 6/27/2013solarmoonman would recommend this product to a friendThese work great.... but depending on the wall thickness of the unit your using can be VERY VERY hard to get pipe in..I used them on a 55 gallon food grade plastic drum....worked like a charm... no leaks and was fairly easy to get pipe in...Then I also used them on a 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank... still once I was done... NO leaks... but I had to file out one of the holes a little bigger as the wall thickness was to big a the bottom and I just could not get the pipe in...
Tip make sure the pipe has been cut off square..(90 degrees). like with a chop saw...then use some 80 grit sand paper to round off the edge of the pipe to remove the knife like edge ... or it will cut/ dig in to the rubber.
all in all for the price there great...a bit of a challenge to install on thicker walled units but i used 8 two inch and 8 1 1/2 " on my new system.... not a drop!!!!!
they r very helfpul little things By Awais on 4/18/2013Awais would recommend this product to a friendThese unseals are very helpful, esp for the small sizes, where you may not want to use a bulkhead, use these uniseals. They are great, I used them in my refuge when I drilled holes in them. I also used them in my DIY BP reactors.
They are easy to use and they do not leak, just make sure you drill the right size holes.

I am planning to use uniseals for my ATO, mixing, and water change tanks. What can I use for lubrication on the pipe that won't contaminate the water?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi David,
In the past I have actually just used water or saliva but many people recommend things like silicone o-ring lubricant, non-ammonia windex and vegetable oil. Just give the container a good rinse after everything is installed and you should be good to go!
Hope this helps!
Have a great day :)

Will it work with tubings?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Paul,
The uniseals are made to work with pipe. The diameter of the pipe pushes out and is what seals against the walls of the uniseal. A flexible tube would most likely leak.

Can a uni seal be reused? i need to pull the pipe out and install a longer one.
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Jack,
That is just fine. Just be careful removing it to not rip or tear on the uniseal and you will be just fine.

Will they work with schedule 40 pipe?
If so, what diameter pipe for a 1 inch uniseal
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Chris,
Yes. All plumbing is sized with nominal plumbing sizes which takes into account the correct size fittings for the pipe regardless of whether they are sch40, 80, etc. For a 1" pipe you would want a 1" uniseal.
Uniseal Installation Instructions
- Cut hole to the hole saw size indicated for the Uniseal below.
- Ensure that the hole is clean with no sharp edges. Irregularities can cause a poor seal and leaks.
- Insert the Uniseal into the hole with the wide flange on the outside of the container.
- Ensure the pipe end that will be inserted is clean of burs or sharp points. File the edges if needed.
- Insert the pipe into the Uniseal. You can lubricate the pipe end with Windex. Most of it will be squeezed off during installation but be sure to wash thoroughly before turning on your system.
