Red Sea Reef Energy A is part of a two part nutritional system for corals. Along with Red Sea Energy B, this system provides all the energy, amino acids and vitamins that corals need for growth and coloration. Red Sea Reef Energy A contains a formula of carbohydrates, amino acids, fatty acids and proteins.

Three Sizes Available

  • 500mL
  • 1000mL
  • 5000mL

Red Sea Reef Energy Dosing Recommendations*:

  • Soft Corals Tank - 1 mL/25 gallons
  • LPS Tank - 2 mL/25 gallons
  • SPS - accelerated growth/mature tank - 2 mL/25 gallons
  • SPS - enhanced colors (low nutrient) tank - 4 mL/25 gallons

Calculate the total water volume of your system (aquarium and sump minus live rocks, etc.). Mix Reef Energy A and B together directly for dosing.

*These doses are recommended starting points based on a well-stocked tank. Adjustments may need to be made. Be sure to monitor the appearance of your corals for signs of overdosing - fluctuations in nitrate and phosphate levels as wells as the development of bio-film on rocks or an algae breakout are signs that dosing changes may be necessary. Follow manufacturer's instructions.

Refrigerate after opening.

Product Questions

Outside of an algae outbreak, is there a risk to overdosing?
Question by: Matthew Achimon on Jan 31, 2020, 5:22 PM
Hey there,

It can cause an increase in nutrients that would be harmful to coral health.

Take care

Hi,

What is the shelf life of this product as well as Part B? Not sure what size bottle I should order. Thank you
Question by: El on Oct 25, 2017, 10:55 AM
Based on the expiration date of the bottle on my desk I would assume a one year shelf life once the bottles have been opened, provided you keep them refrigerated.

Your average 100 gal mixed reef is going to use around 8-16ml/day so a 1000ml bottle could last you 2-5 months. You dosage will vary based on corals and demand so just use this as a ballpark figure.
