Great Question!
This food could be given to corals with no bad effects. We do have specialty coral food available as well in many different forms.

  • Great Product By Adib on 5/15/2017

My fish were extremely hesitant to eat other fish food until i gave them spectrum food and they loved it. My clowns and damsels have doubled in size.
  • Need to presoak By Link on 3/26/2017

I thought my new clownfish didn't like these because it would spit back out. Thought they were too big, but still didnt keep them down after cutting (breaking) them in half, and it would keep down larger bits of mysis. But after seeing them disappear from sand or rock in 30 minutes (its the only fish in the tank) I figured out that they are pretty hard, even after a few minutes in water. Now I soak them for about 20 minutes, clownfish keeps them down.
  • Still one of the best By Richard on 1/28/2017

To me this is still one of the best pellet foods around. I never have any issues getting a feeding response from any of my fish and if somehow any pellets make it by them to the bottom of the tank the inverts go crazy for it too.
  • Okay but not for smaller fish By Gb on 10/11/2016

Its a decent pellet. The fish seem happy to eat it. However it seems Very Hard.

If you have a nano tank, or small fish I would not recommend you get this. Its probably better suited for large fish.

I have to crush the pellets into small pieces otherwise if I feed these whole to my firefish, lemon wrasse, clowns etc they gag on them and look like they are choking. Even after soaking them in water they are still fairly hard.
  • Fish like it By Earl on 9/14/2016

I use a feeding ring to drop this food in, it helps keep it suspended until the pellets get soaked enough to drop. Except for the fact that as soon as I drop it in the tank, my One Spot Foxface goes up and starts gulping it down and sends the rest of the pellets flying. That's when the other fish get theirs. My goby didn't like it at first, but now catches the pieces as they float by.
  • all marine creatures love it By John on 9/5/2016

These pellets sink and every creature in the tank goes crazy after them fish crabs snails corals you name it they love it
  • Good Quality! By FLSharkvictim on 6/8/2016

All my fish love this stuff except my Powder Blue Tang will not even look at it let a lone eat it.
Other then that, i would give this food 4 stars across the board.
  • Used to bring life back to a Trachyphyllia! By Joshua on 9/22/2015

Used this product for a few months target feeding a Trachyphyllia that I thought was almost dead. This was the only product that would stay a pellet long enough for the coral to eat it. 3 months later, the Trachyphyllia is massive and looks better than ever. Couldn't be more pleased!
  • Fish Love It, Way Better than Flake By Brian on 2/11/2015

I've tried all sorts of food over the years. Flake, pellet, floating, sinking, frozen, live, etc.. This is perfect because even though they say sinking pellets some pellets float and some slowly sink. The entire water column gets food and fish at all levels get a chance to eat. As for nutrition, besides Rods or other high quality frozen, this is by far the best quality dry food on the market. It doesn't make huge a mess like flake does and little is wasted. Fish have loved it for over 3 years now since I started using this brand. Overall, would recommend.
  • Runs great in the Neptune AFS By Brian on 1/23/2015

My fix love it! I love that it sinks very slowly, it is almost semi buoyant so it stays suspended in the water column for a bit. This triggers a feeding frenzy in my tank that is always fun to watch. The pellets do not turn to mush or anything, I've kept an eye on some that made it to my sump and they stayed pellet shaped for a week or more.
  • The fish eat it By Seth on 12/3/2014

I normally feeds rods food and krill. The fish seem to like this food as well which I feel is a good indicator that going from a high quality frozen to a pellet. They wouldn't even touch the cobalt food. I have to turn off all my pumps or it just ends up on the sand before the fish find it. I feed it sporadically not on a schedule.
  • Been using this for over 10 years By Tek on 11/25/2014

This is the best food hands down for my fish for over 10 years. Perfect for herbivores or omnivores as it covers all their needs. It does not foul the water and once a fish gets hooked they gobble it up. All of my fish end up round and healthy for years.
