Nice Base Rock By Chris on 7/22/2014Chris would recommend this product to a friendMake sure you cure this before adding to your system if it's going into an established one. I would recommend curing for about 2 weeks longer than you think you should. I cooked this rock in heated salt water for about a month and it wasn't quite enough when i added it to my system.
Easy to aquascape.... very porous.... lots of hiding places for critters.
Good rock. By A on 7/15/2014A would recommend this product to a friendIt is a good way to reduce pests. I am not sure why people fight with live rock so much.
awesome rock By John on 7/11/2014John would recommend this product to a friendI just bought 30 pounds of Reef Saver and I can't wait to put it in a tank. I got more rock than I thought I would. I am very pleased with it.
Excellent Rock, but Rubble order not needed By Neil on 6/26/2014Neil would recommend this product to a friendI received 75 lbs of Reef Saver for my 75 gal tank. I also received the 10 lbs of rubble that I thought that I would need after watching a video on the Reef Saver and talking to a Customer Rep. Well, as it turns out, there must have been enough pieces broken off during shipping (note inside of shipment stated this may happen) that I didn't need the rubble. I had enough pieces in the main shipment to fill in any areas that I thought needed it. So, you may not want to waste your money on the rubble as I did. I really like the Reef Save rock as it fits together nicely. The recommended 1 lb/gal was just right for me.
great rock By Adam on 6/24/2014Adam would recommend this product to a friendJust got my rock today I oredered 10lbs and got closer to 15lbs. This rock looks great and you cant find it cheaper any where else. I'm so glad I found BRS they are the best. I wont get my supplies anywere else
Reef saver dry live rock By Cess on 6/17/2014Cess would recommend this product to a friendI like how easy to handle this rock for my aquascaping. Its easier to handle than Pukani but I love both rocks.
AWESOME By Sammy on 6/14/2014Sammy would recommend this product to a friendI set up my current tank back in March of 2014. This was the first time I have used dry rock. I've always heard great things about the rock at BRS and let me say, it is absolutely true. I got great pieces, multiple sizes, and very holey rock! I did not see any problems regarding PO4 as some have claimed with dry rock. Plus the added benefit of knowing I didn't take rock from the ocean is appealing as well. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.
Great Purchase and Great Rock By Matt on 6/14/2014Matt would recommend this product to a friendWith stores selling live rock at $7-$10 a pound, this is a great option to save some cash. I have a new 180 gallon tank and elected to buy half live rock locally and half dry rock from BRS. Saved $500 and more pleased with looks and sizes of the dry rock. The live rock will seed the dry rock and over time is will all become Excellent live rock. Pieces were large and some rubble in bottom to make frag plugs. A+++
Great Rock! By David on 6/10/2014David would recommend this product to a friendJust received my order to day and I am very impressed with the rock. Very good quality and well packaged....very little breakage. What little breakage there was I will be able to use to attach frags and still have some left to use as rubble in my filtration system.
I would highly recommend this rock to anyone who is in the saltwater hobby.
Porous and clean! By PicoMoon on 5/29/2014PicoMoon would recommend this product to a friendLots of little holes for bacteria to grow and totally free of parasites. LOVE IT!
Good Option By Justin on 5/27/2014Justin would recommend this product to a friendI've used other dry rock before, but chose the BRS Reef Saver based on all the photos showing very good internal structure and openings in each and every rock. With the exception of 2-3 rocks out of a 50lb shipment, this is what I received.
love this rock look By 75 gal reef on 5/25/201475 gal reef would recommend this product to a friendrock looks great just wish had more random shapes mostly round square shapes no elongated pieces but was super easy to break into great shapes

I'm setting up a 35 gallon 20inX20in cube, out of the three pukani, reef saver or Fiji which offers the smaller pieces my tank requires for me to get the best results aquascaping? Thanks!
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Kyle,
Fiji and Reef Saver offer the smallest size pieces. Personally I prefer reefsaver in these types of situations as it is really easy to stack and create your aquascape.
by john on September 1, 2013, @3:53 AM
do you need to cure reef saver rock the same as you would live rock or is it fairly free of organics?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey John,
We would advise cycling any type rock from any source because it just isn't worth the risk of your live stock not too. As far as the rock goes though, the reef saver is by far the cleanest of any of the rocks right off the bat.
by Steve on September 5, 2013, @6:11 PM

What is the recommended amount of rock per gallon? I'm aquascaping a JBJ 28 LED tank. thanks!
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Chris,
We recommend a pound per gallon as a good ballpark place to start. It will give a nice middle of the road aqua-scape and is what most folks are looking for!
BRS Reef Saver Dry Aquarium Live Rock can be shipped to Canada.
BRS Reef Saver Dry Aquarium Live Rock, our environmentally friendly rock, works great for aquascaping. This rock is 100% free of nuisance algae and pests which can cause complete tank shut downs and is guaranteed to be free of apitasia, bubble algae, parasitic isopods, mantis shrimp, acro eating flat worms, little red bugs, fire worms, predatory nudibranchs, pyramidellid snails and other common pests. BRS Reef Saver rock comes in unique shapes that fit well together to make interesting and unique structures. BRS Reef Saver Rock arrives at our warehouse pre-soaked and rinsed. This is by far our cleanest rock.
BRS makes every effort to securely pack the Rock. However, the UPS automation is not always gentle on heavy products like this and they do not consider this product insurable. Because of this, there is some inherent risk with shipping rock like this across the country and it is impossible to replace or refund broken pieces. If this happens most pieces can be repaired with epoxy.
