Product Questions

So if I just recently bought a used pair of mp40's, I could buy a new pair of qd wetsides for them and they will work with it without having to get the new qd driver upgrade?

Great Question,
The new wet side will work with the old mp40 ES without the need for any upgrade. Let us know if you have any further questions!

  • New design is great By Adam on 10/4/2016

Well after 6 years one of my wet sides finally broke and I decided to replace both in that tank at the same time. The new design does seem to be quieter than the old but that could also be because of the age of the old wet sides. These went right in and were quiet with no fiddling to get them perfectly centered.
  • Works well By Jason on 8/31/2016

As a reviewer a couple above me, my wet side broke down after barely a year of use. Unfortunately, with the new MP40 released EcoTech made the decision to stop making repair parts for the MP40w ES. Hopefully this new wet side holds up as so far they don't list replacement parts for it on line like they do for the MP10 and MP60.
  • Work like a champ By Mackjr1969 on 6/24/2016

I had to replace my wet side , I order it and got it two days later. Pop it in place and Bam it was back in motion.
  • Great upgrade By George on 4/1/2016

The new design gives a better flow patterns than the old mp40 wetside. It also feels more solid than the last generation as well
  • Priceless By Samuel on 2/25/2016

I have a mp40 w es. Every time i would take it out to clean it, the noise would be unbearable! I would spend 2 days trying to get it back to the sweet spot to be silent again. Granted my wetside was wore out, but it was always the fiddling with it to get it right...took the old one out, put this one in...dead silent again! No twisting or messing with the wet side, put it in and forgot it. Love it
  • Great replacement for MP40w Wet Side Assembly By Reef_Addict on 2/22/2016

I purchased this MP40 QD wet side assembly and it made a noticeable difference in the noise levels of the MP40w during operation. I am going to buy a second one for my other MP40w
  • Good but beware of magnets By RogueFJ on 1/27/2016

I like this product but if you place the glass cleaner too close to it, it will mess with the magnet and fall down and damage your corals.
  • great By ncfishguy on 1/18/2016

used on a older mp40 made a big difference in noise so much quieter
  • Nice replacement to the previous MP40 wet side assembly By Conny on 7/25/2015

Just over a year of use and 3 of my 4 wet side assemblies broke down.. Replaced with the new wet side units. The design appears improved. Let's hope they last more than a year.
  • Overall does the job By Joe on 7/22/2015

I think this product is great overall especially since it is modular and can buy separate pieces. My last one I had a small crawled in and when I restarted after my feeding period the snail caused it to break. The new replacement worked great and actually pushed more water around. I guess the old one wore out over time and I did not realize it was performing sub-optimal.
