Quick Overview

Why does BRS recommend this?

With a great low cost, and high quality ingredients Hikari pellets are great for the most finicky feeders.  With their elastic and sponge-like texture, they resemble the foods your fish would instinctually eat.

Enhance the colors and boost growth of your smaller plant-eating fish with high protein, Marine-S Pellet Fish Food.

  • Contains chitosan to maintain good digestive health

  • Contains stabilized Vitamin C to reduce stress and build immunity

  • Complete balanced nutrition combination including fatty acids DHA & EPA

  • Contains shrimp meal for natural coloration

  • Drop into tank - pellets rapidly become sponge-like and is easily assimilated thereby reducing waste.

  • As the pellet absorbs water it slowly sinks, allowing feeding at all levels of the aquarium

  • Marine-S- will not dissolve allowing you to monitor the amount consumed.

  • Will not cloud water

  • So far so good! By Karibbean on 12/11/2016

4 stars only b/c I have not used this long term yet. I Love it so far. Splash, Delilah, Simba, and Pepe Le Pew love it so far. I usually offer them a smorgasbord of frozen feasts, but wanted a dry option for those days when I'm rushing out the door. I was using a different dried option that was giving my tank the nasties. I threw it away and tried this...So far so good!!
  • A really good product By Tony on 12/10/2016

I was using new life spectrum pellets my fish would bite it then spit it out with these pellets they go crazy for these pellets even my banggai cardinal eats these (He would only eat frozen before)
  • Great Product!! By Gb on 10/11/2016

My fish love this food. I think so far for my smaller fish like firefish and clowns it the perfect size food. They eat this up like crazy. It is my primary pellet along with SA Hatchery diet.
  • Good sinking food By Ray on 4/28/2016

I bought this food for my auto feeder cause my old fish food was just going in my over flow. This one sinks slowly and none of it floats into my overflows. The only thing I kinda don't like is that the pellets are kinda hard I see my fish spitting them out several times before swallowing it.
  • Best Pellet I've Used.. Hands Down By Patrick on 4/23/2016

Funny story.. I used Hikari Marine S on my first few tanks, and everyone loved it. I decided to try a different product for my current tank, and boy was that a mistake. The fish hated it! Too big, and they didn't like it. I switched back to the tried-and-true Hikari Marine S, and the fish eat it like pigs.

I don't think I'll ever start with anything else ever again. Hikari Marine S has been the ONLY pellet food that my fish have ate without exception.
  • My clowns love it By Victoria on 4/11/2016

small so my little 1inch baby clown can can eat it no problem.
  • Simply the best By Danny on 4/8/2016

My clownfish and skunk cleaner shrimp love this food!
  • Great! By Zachary on 2/22/2016

  • Great By Byao on 1/9/2016

My fish loves it!!! I love the quality of the this food
  • Fish Love It By Chris on 1/3/2016

My fish attack this stuff as soon as it hits the water. Always have had great experience with Hikari foods.
  • Jury still out By BH on 12/18/2015

The food is packaged nicely and works well as it relates to feeding after soaking a few minutes in RO/DI water; however, none of my fish will eat it. That said, I don’t blame the food, as my fish have only been fed frozen foods for years. I intend to keep trying as I want an option for auto fish feeders when I am out of town.
  • Great product! By Submerge on 11/20/2015

Love this stuff. I feed it an automatic feeder during the day in small doses. It's small enough that the clownfish can easily grab it. And now my Spotted Manderin is chasing them down and eating them (this guy has been eating mysis for about a year now....).

The small size also allows multiple feedings for constant eaters like tangs. They run all over the place tracking down the little pellets but don't get too much food.

    Buy this food with confidence.
