work great By swseipel on 7/15/2014swseipel would recommend this product to a friendI use these in my brs dual reactor. They seem to hold up well.
good By a-squared on 2/26/2014a-squared would recommend this product to a friendDo what they are supposed to do. They are cut from large pieces of foam, so getting some that are a little different in color (white to yellowish) happens some times. ...nothing to worry about.
Excellent, using in other reactors By SteadyC on 1/13/2014SteadyC would recommend this product to a friendI bought a few extra just to have for when I need them in the future. When I replaced my two reactors on my main tank with BRS Deluxe Reactor, I added one of my old reactors on my smaller tank, using these pads instead of the ones from the reactor's manufacturer. I had to cut to fit, but I really like how thick they are.
Quick maintenance must have By Oliver on 1/11/2014Oliver would recommend this product to a friendThese are I expensive and allow you to perform routine maintenance quicker. I have a few extras on hand when changing my dual reactor.
Good product By Shawn on 11/5/2013Shawn would recommend this product to a friendThick and chunky sponge pads for reactor shells, RO/DI etc. Work like a charm and are pretty cheap for the good quality.
As described By cbsopp on 5/30/2013cbsopp would recommend this product to a friendWorks almost perfectly. As others have said, I keep several pairs on hand to swap them out while the others are being washed.
Great Price, Works Well By Robert on 11/26/2012Robert would recommend this product to a friendWorks well, grab a few extra so you have them when you need them.
Get some, you'll need them one day By John on 4/26/2012John would recommend this product to a friendI recommend buying a set of these when you purchase the reactor. They are cheap and will be needed eventually for your carbon reactor, etc. I keep some on hand just in case.
Get some, you'll need them one day By John on 4/26/2012John would recommend this product to a friendThese pads will be needed sooner or later for your carbon reactor, etc. At this price you can't go wrong. I keep a few on hand just in case.
Inexpensive way to maintain performance of BRS reactors By Corbin on 2/15/2012Corbin would recommend this product to a friendThese pads are great to begin with. eventually small grain carbon can begin to work their way in to them. These replacements are inexpensive and just like the ones included with your original BRS reactor you purchased. Great regular maintenance part to replace every couple months.

when you run media in these reactors, how should you position the foam inserts? should there be one at the bottom and top of the media? or should they both be at the top.
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Scott,
It depends on the media. With something like GFO you can just skip the pads altogether. With a media like carbon you want to use the pads to prevent the media from tumbling, so you would use one at the top and one at the bottom of the carbon.
