WHEN I PLACED THE GFO INTO THE CARTRIDGE I NOTICE THAT SOME OF THE GFO SPILLED THROUGH THE SPONGE. SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY ROX CARBON IN THE OTHER CARTRIDGE. I LIKE THE FINER SPONGE BETTER THAN THE CORSE SPONGE. OTHER THAN THAT, IT'S DOING THE JOB -

EddieJ would recommend this product to a friendIf you use any of the BRS reactors this is a MUST have item. Makes media changes quick and painless. Just add the proper amount of media, rinse with RO water and you are good to go. Makes the messy job of changing carbon and GFO a little neater. -

Tim would recommend this product to a friendWhen I do my monthly maintainence, I htought to cut down on the time, I owuld buy twqo of these. The day before I fill them with the proper amount of carbon, and gfo. The morning of the maint I jsut run water through them and install them. Saves cleaning the others ones for a few minutes or so. I guess I just like the convience. -

JC would recommend this product to a friendCartridge is good to have for quick replacements in the BRS reactor. Only thing I dont like about the cartridge is the sponge can let small particles thru. Overall good value. -

Darren would recommend this product to a friendI have a couple of these to make changing media even faster. They work great with the BRS media reacters, which I run activated carbon in. When I do a water change, the first thing I do is remove the spent cartridge and replace it with my second cartridge that I pre-loaded with new carbon. I then turn on the filters pump with the output going into my waste water container, flushing the fines from the new carbon and removing the old tank water for my water change at the same time. I can then clean and re-fill the the first cartridge at my leasure to be ready for the next time I need to replace the media. I like the fact that you can adjust the amount of carbon in use by filling it only to the level you want.

10” clear, refillable cartridge modified for use with Old Style BRS Reactors. Includes one clear cartridge and three foam disks (installed).
This is an alternative to the newer, BRS Reactor Refillable Cartridge – Hard Shell. SKU: 204185. The newer hard shell style is more popular but either type can be used in single, deluxe and dual BRS reactors.
